Played it about halfway through while PSN was down for Xmas, Enjoyed it quite a lot, but never went back once connectivity was restored. New Batman feels quite similar.

Might have to check it out.

And I finished SoM about an hour after I made this post. In hindsight, it was probably a pretty short game from start to finish. Think I did it in about 30 hours and probably spent the first 10 just killing orcs and doing mini side quests

Yeah, it's pretty fun. Game gets way, way too easy tho. And the story is pretty awesome but also pretty cliche.

I think just a few changes here and there and it could have been really special.

After a certain point the warchiefs/captains are way too easy to beat 1v1 or even 1v2. I only ever got screwed if 3 of them + their army came crashing down on me. And the toughest boss of the game was the Hammer of Sauron guy at the end of the Mordor stage, which was only the first half of the game. Actually beating the Black Hand after the Nurn stage was loleasy. Very fun gameplay though, and storyline was pretty awesome. Might have to try it on a harder difficulty

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Plus, one of my best friends was a QA lead for it, so it was cool to get to see his name in the ending credits

I thought the game was cool but I never finished it, quit halfway through the second part. I spent too much time just doing random stuff.

I wasn't very good at the game though, somehow I sometimes ended up pulling too many orcs and getting surrounded. I especially suck at dodging the pikes.
