I am looking forward to this game, love the franchise

Seems like a departure further away from RE1 and towards RE5. Sort of a shame. Probably still be fun to play.

First half was kinda creepy and i thought geez maybe they might get back to making something resembling a survivor horror games. Then the second half of the video looked like another third person shooter.

It's not that I didn't like Resident Evil 5 (apart from the co op AI being forced on you.) It's just that it didn't feel much like a Resident Evil game. Hell most of the game was during the day time.

I like what they're doing with the gameplay mechanics. If only they could use them in a survival horror type atmosphere i would be stoked.

Excited, but I thought the trailer underwhelmed a bit.

This about 50,000 times. Being ammo-starved is only a problem for children. In adults it creates tension and causes you to think. Giving us an assault rifle and sending 50 running zombies at us is just mind numbing.

I'm hoping that The Last of Us kind of brings back some of the tension I miss in Survival Horror

This is actually a really good point. If we could all just learn to play the same recycled **** over and over with whatever storyline we like pasted over it, the video gaming world would be a lot better for it.

RE is one of my favorite games. Scared the **** outa me when I was younger

In terms of scariness, the only one that really hit the mark was RE1 with its atmosphere. RE2-RE4 had a moderate "eerieness." RE5 scaled it back even more. I think the challenge is that they need to change things up to keep the series fresh. They did a great job with RE4, and a decent job with RE5. Dunno about 6, but I think the setting is a good start.

Just wondering, of the 4 main characters RE has used, am I missing any that showed up in some of the games? Here is my list:

RE1: Chris and Jill
RE2: Leon and Claire
RE3: Jill
RE CV: Claire (Chris shows up in the game)
RE4: Leon
RE5: Chris (Jill shows up)
RE6: Leon and Chris

I'd prefer a new, good Silent Hill. But TLoU looks amazing.
