late to the party here, but man the soundtrack to this is sick. Especially once you get to Mexico.

havent played this game in like 3 weeks.

I went on super tilt. It started when I forgot I needed the desert sage for the airplane guy and I sold them all to a shop keeper.

Then I was really pumped about the US Army uniform but the guy I needed to arm wrestle in the railroad camp was never there. I went back and forth between there and sleeping in Blackwater like 1o times before I just started blasting people.

I ended up holed up in my room in the Blackwater hotel stationed in the corner blasting cops with the sawed off shotgun as soon as the entered the door. I must have killed 150-200 of them. The were piled up waist high. They finally got me and I lost all my honer and $4k in monies.

Now I'm broke and everyone hates me. Haven't had the motivation to continue.

You're missing some sweet herding missions. I would reconsider your decision sir.

lol, took your advice.

I'm stuck on figuring out how to scare the crows away from my corn. I've failed it about 3 times now. I wish I had an owl.

That was actually the hardest mission in the game for me, had to hit up gamefaqs.

Basically you need to kill a certain number of the crows in the time they give you.

The way I did it was to lob some dynamite to the top of the silo. You have to wait a bit before releasing the throw so that it explodes over the silo rather than inside it.

Really? I did it first time. Just shot birds w rifle. Strange.

I'd say the hardest thing for me in the game was the showdowns draws.

I didn't have any dynamite on me. I ended up using a bunch of moonshine and snake oil and taking enough of them out to get the job done.

All you have to do is watch the crows that fly for the opening and take them out one by one - no need to shoot a lot of them.

Are people still playing this game online? Just got it the other day and plan on playing some Live this weekend. Gamertag MJiggy - add me.

Haven't read any of this thread because I've been avoiding spoilers so sorry if I am noobish.

I somehow went through this entire game without realizing that you could change guns within each weapon class. After originally spending a couple of minutes trying to figure it out, I just assumed you kept the most recent gun you picked up in each class.

I've cruised through the thread and haven't been spoiled too badly.

I play as Mike Weird on 360, but having recently picked up the game I have the same question as Jiggymike. Another thing is, I'm simply not as proficient a FPS gamer as almost everyone so quite honestly I'm intimidated by the online aspect after my Halo forays back in the day. Meeting up with some people in a co-op fashion sounds like a good time but the free roam world* that I was briefly in was pretty empty. Has everyone moved on to something new?

* one thing about the free roam multiplayer is that I have access to the two parts of the world that haven't yet been unlocked for me in the campaign. Pretty cool but now they're losing some of their mystery having been there.

Very minor spoiler if you haven't got to the ranch bit:

Spoiler:
I ****ing hate John Marston's son, he is so irritating. Last mission I did was hunting wolves with him and then the mission where you save him from the bear, I wonder if Rockstar made him so unlikeable on purpose?. I'm hoping some tragic accident befalls him in a future mission.

don't worry about other players being better than you at free roam, the skill gap is very narrow. It's pretty much find a good gun and auto aim.

Thanks. From what I read there's some collaborative stuff and people who just randomly kill other players aren't rewarded for doing so (although regardless of that I have noticed in my limited sample that this doesn't stop them).

Obv play is to just stop dipping a toe in the pool and just jump right in and not be such a goddamned pussy so maybe I'll try that.

I'm the same way, never picked up the fps skills that everyone else seems to have. I finally stopped being a baby and started joining some of the shootouts in the free roam and I can hold my own. I never win but I'm not as inept as I am at MW2 for example. Find the good guns and use the auto aim and you can hang in there.

The worst part for me is when I'm just trying to plow through a gang hideout and some level 50 dildo decides he just wants to pwn the noob for whatever reason. Makes me insane.
