pretty sure if you wound them with a gun and finish them off with a knife you get credit for it.

Ya you just have to finish them off with the knife. Try and roll out of the way when it charges you then you can slice away for a sec. You can also lasso it to hold it still. That helps out when you have to kill a bear with a knife in the next challenge

Just started this game. Fun so far but haven't really gotten into anything yet. I just wish they had the first person view option like Oblivion games. It's so much easier for me to control the character in that view.

good story, pretty long to play through for a DLC...definitely a good value if you enjoyed the game

I find this game super repetitive. I love the GTA series and i do enjoy this game to a certain extent, but the missions aren't varied enough. Hope i can get back into it and complete it, but it's all a bit meh.

I've actually been using the stagecoach quite a bit since about mid-Mexico and I've pretty much lost interest in hunting. I do like just going in and blasting the **** out of gangs and going on bounty hunts. Also the story and cut scenes are dope.

Wolves are in prison rape mode lately. Hows a gentlemen supposed to pick flowers in this environment.

load up on flowers and herbs and go for 'just a couple more' and get eaten before you get to save somewhere. ugghh. that used to piss me off something ferocious.

Somebody got it for me last Christmas and I couldn't really get into it. Having to shoot countless waves of zombies in the head using dead eye gets old fast, and that's pretty much all you do through both the main and side missions. While most zombie games are somewhat repetitive, this one is especially so. It's generally gotten good reviews though so maybe it's just me.

i thought undead nightmare was great. repetitive seems like a weird complaint to me. it's like 8 hours long. put aim mode on easy or casual or whatever it's called and mowing down zombies becomes really easy btw.

if you like red dead redemption and you like zombies then you'll probably like undead nightmare imo. it's the best dlc i've ever played for any game.

That's great to hear. I bought Undead on Amazon a while back and have yet to put it in but I loved RDR.

8 hours seems like a low estimate. I think I was at around 35% completed 4-5 hours in and I didn't do anything besides the map missions. Regardless, 8-12 hours of shooting the same, predictable zombies isn't really my idea of fun. To each his own I guess.

i got 100% and came in around 12 hours which included some messing around. i guessed 8 for just beating the game and not doing the challenges and stuff although i could be a little off.

Totally random but I was wondering:

Was Undead Nightmare a stand-alone download? I sold my RDR but wouldn't mind playing Undead again.

Nah you need a RDR disc for the undead nightmare dlc.. It comes as a stand alone disc though.

I just bought the Undead Nightmare disc. Hopefully there are still people actively playing Liar's Dice online (the disc also includes a couple of the other DLC packs).

Surprised I didn't post in here after I finished the main game earlier this year. Incredible...it's probably my #2 ever. The cut-scenes I thought were pretty bad, but the game works in spite of that. It again falls into the GTA4 trap of taking itself too seriously. Not that I necessarily have a problem with a more "serious" story for one of these games - it's just the particular way in which Rockstar is clearly trying to be Hollywood and is making really lame attempts at shoehorning "meaning" and "emotion" into their non-interactive scenes. Also in the case of both games, the protagonists are brutal killers while the cutscenes lamely attempt to portray them as ultimately nice guys trying to reform. RDR would I think have been better if Marston was more like The Man With No Name (including Eastwood in Unforgiven). Quieter, demonically skilled and brutal when necessary, but there can still be a family and a somewhat soft side.

Anyway, the game is still my #2 even considering all that. GTA4 on the other hand doesn't really register on my list because I found that version of Liberty City to be a thoroughly uninteresting place.

I only played the single player (original campaign not DLC), and the AI was terrible but I didn't know you could play Liar's Dice versus people online. It would be really cool if you could gamble for Microsoft Points but obviously that's not allowed. Liar's Dice against players (human or AI) who actually understand how to play could be fun though.

I played liar's dice a few times when it was first released. I found it fun with friends but most of the randoms were completely ******ed and would quit mid game or after one round.

It wasn't a review, I wrote about one small aspect of the game that I disliked.

I played one game of Liar's Dice tonight...the open world map for multiplayer is a huge confusing hassle, they really should have made normal lobbies for people who want to do specific things. I started Liar's Dice though and we actually got 5 of us. Two of them left partway through. I did not win.

This is one of the few games I'm "sad" about being finished with and want to return to. It would be amazing if they did a "Liberty City Stories" type thing with it for Vita. Just re-use all the assets and put a new 30 hour storyline there. Vice City was another game that I missed in the same way, and that itch was eventually scratched with Vice City Stories.
