I definitely recommend BatmanVR. It's awesome and worth the $20. Beyond that I'd say try all the games on the demo disc and decide what you like.

Edit: And make sure to d/l Playroom VR (free) and try Robots Rescue. It's incredible.

This is good advice^^^.

Just to elaborate, I agree that Batman is the best most polished launch title. Its really great. If you get the bundle, between the demo disc, VR Worlds, and the available free downloads in the PS Store, you will have nearly thirty more experiences to wet your beak and decide what kind of thing you enjoy the most.

I got the bundle then picked up Rush Of Blood and Batman VR a couple days later after seeing almost unanimous good reviews on NeoGaf for both. Ive been using the headset almost every night for a few hours and still have content to get to FWIW.

So I got PS VR yesterday, and damn I am impressed. Besides kicking my dog a couple times it was a pretty awesome experience.

Didn't get to batman yet, but played every game on the VR world. Going to play some batman tonight and try the PlayroomVR. Also going to get the Until Dawn scary game that is out for VR!

Unfortunately there are issues here. For whatever reason the media player doesnt support 3D videos. You can play regular videos or standard flat 360 videos, but those are kind of lame in comparison. Its obviously not a hardware issue, there are free video apps for the headset right now that have stereoscopic 3D videos so Im pretty confident it will be patched into the media player, as early as the next update I hope as its a complaint Ive heard from nearly every headset owner. Why it isnt already there from the jump is confusing and disappointing.

I don't have a PS4 yet, and want to get VR within the next 6 months. Should I be holding out for PS4 Pro? I don't have a 4k TV and may not even get one, but I hear it clears up a lot of issues with PSVR?

Yes, get the Pro. You'd be mad to save the $100 ($50 with the hard drive upgrade really) by getting a standard PS4 now, even without the PSVR - with it it's a total no-brainer.

edit: Have a PSVR and both consoles right now, there is a noticeable improvement. That is not to say the PSVR is bad with the standard model though, it is in fact amazing! The upgrade is "nice to have" rather than "vital", and while I certainly don't regret upgrading, it's a tougher sell given full price if you have a workable PS4 already.

Could you say what the noticeable improvement is all about ? Im thinking about selling my 1 year old ps4 to get the pro and VR.

Seeing reports that the ps4 pro is having problems with a lot of 4k TVs. Won't display anything other than a black screen

Should have posted this with my previous post. Says even the same model TV will work and then the same model next to it won't on the same ps4. Sony is saying it's on the TV manufacturers, TV manufacturers are pointing the blame back at Sony

I would blame a cheap POS HDMI cable.

Yeah that's not the problem. 4k barely comes close to pushing the limits of hdmi. Only one manufacture is using hdmi 2. That gold plates monster hdmi cable everyone thinks is the best is no better than a $2 one off Amazon. I work in A/V hooking up 4k displays, 4k projectors daily. We never use more than a basic monoprice HDMI cable unless a customer requests different and we never have issues between a 4k transmitter and the displays

I think you're mistaken, despite your expertise. 4k HDR10 @ 60Hz absolutely requires HDMI 2.0, uses a ton of bandwidth, and more than "one manufacturer" is the problem here - many of their HDCP 2.2 implementations are shoddy and it's not handshaking properly.

If you're having this issue, and have made sure your cables are good (by connecting directly to TV with the bundled PS4 HDMI), reboot in safe mode and set HDCP to 1.4 and it should be good from there.
