I did a Moltres raid this morning with 4 people. Levels 30, 30, 31, 34. No reason not to have 7+ Moltres by end of the week if they can be beaten that easily. Almost cheapens the experience imo. 0-1 to start.

Went 0/3 so far. It feels like it moves more. On the first and 3rd battle I have about ten tries each and fully missed two shots each time. On the middle challenge, I missed 5 times out of 9 tries, which has caused me to stop doing fancy stuff like trying to catch it at the top of the screen. Literally every other shot I took was a great ball, so I got 21 great shots with golden berries/curves. I think that RNG just smashed me is all.

What 6 did you use?

Golem with stone edge; 3 vaporeons with hydro pump; gyarados with hydro pump; and golduck with hydro pump.

the other three people just ran golem after golem at moltres, don't know where they got so many geodudes from took me like 10 months to get one golem.

Rock event plus pineapples, maybe throw in some visits to some geodude nests once it became apparent that golem would be a beast against the inevitable legendaries would be my guess.

But thanks for clarifying. It does sound like you might need a pretty solid team to beat him with 4. It probably makes sense to split into teams of 6, maybe even just 5, as a matter of course, though, so that everyone can maximize their balls.

Went 3 for 4 today on Moltres. Highest was 89%. I found his hitbox to be pretty weird. Despite catching 3 I actually whiffed completely on so many throws. Kept coming up short.

Went 1/3 today. Had a 95.6% one run on me despite having 11 balls and hitting curves on him with 9 of them. One of the guys in our group caught a 100% one at the same raid the bastard

2/2 on moltres with 90+ IV and fire spin/overheat, 1/1 on articunos

but 0/3 on lugia

speaking of which, did they take away lugia with articuno? i know people thought they weren't but i haven't seen any lugia raids since Monday, only moltres

They're still around but are spawning a whole lot less from what I've noticed

In the last week I have now had three separate occasions where I was ~30 seconds away from putting a mon in a gym and got sniped by a raid.

I went 0-for-7 on Moltres to start out but I have gone 8-for-12 since then. The worst part is that the best Moltres I have gotten is 82% (I even got one in the sub-70% range). It compels me to soldier on, but my soul is weary after 19 attempts at the Moltres.

I will probably do more...

Ouch, I'm hating life at 0/3. 0/7 is brutal.

I'm still a Lugia whisperer, 6/8. One of those misses was when my wife handed me her phone. Oops, but today, that was rectified. We did two raids today, a Moltres and a Lugia. We each caught both, MrsWookie's first of each. Mine was 93.3%. Only went 1/3 on Articuno, but I'm respectable 3/5 on Moltres.

Regionals are going to spawn in major European cities. Don't like this, thought the regionals were a cool unique part of the game.

Looking at the list, Brussels really got screwed considering it's the capital of europe

Did my first Lugia raid today, there ended up being about 13 total. I had to rejoin, but we still got it with like 35 seconds left. Caught it on the 4th of 8 balls, using 2 golden raspberries. Was pretty cool

Was doing a Moltres raid with 6 others when we got a notification that an Unown spawned 14 mins away with 30 mins to catch it. This was at 430pm on eastern Long Island. Absolute madness ensued. Get there and of course it's in the back of a gated community. No joke minimum 50 cars lined up with their hazard lights on, on both sides of what was a busy road less than a mile off the expressway. People getting out and running trying to figure out where it was. Security guard at the booth wouldn't let anybody in. Everybody runs down the road into a parking lot next to it and hops the fence, runs through some poison ivy infested woods and there she was in all her glory. The letter P. One of the craziest scenes I've witnessed. Absolutely hilarious, and awesome at the same time. Someone in our discord chat dubbed it the Underground Unown Railroad.

Is there a good resource out there for using TMs?

I just googled "best movesets" or something like that. first result was a list of damage outputs for fast and charged attacks for every pokémon that matters.

then I just went through my highest cp list and checked which ones I could improve the most and used them like that.

This spreadsheet is a bit out of date (it gives a 25% STAB instead of 20%), but it is still a pretty good resource:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

The italicized movesets are legacy, so be wary about switching out of them.

Also this:

https://www.pokebattler.com/raids

Check out what critters are most useful in raids and get the best movesets for them.

Generally,

1. You really want to have at least two good tyranitars, one bite/stone edge and the other bite/crunch. At least one of those is a top option against nearly every tier 3, 4, and legendary raid boss, current and upcoming.

2. You want at least one rock throw/stone edge golem. Rock blast isn't bad, but stone edge is better.

3. Machamps are not that big a deal in raids outside of tyranitar raids, but they are good counters to common gym defenders, and their steel type moves are hot garbage. So, fixing them is always nice, esp. if you have a decent one.

4. Fixing some expensive generalists is probably next for me (dragonite -> dragon tail/outrage, gyarados -> either dragon tail or bite with hydro pump)

5. Looking ahead to some upcoming raids, rolling scizor and pinsir into double bug attacks, houndoom into double dark, and gengar so it has shadow ball are decent ideas.

6. Fixing some of your ice types is a decent idea (lapras to frost breath/ice beam, or Jynx, piloswine, and cloyster into frost breath/avalanche) as they're strong against anything that flies.

7. Fixing your eeveelutions is a bit luxurious, as it might be just as well to evolve another one, but if you have high quality versions of the original three with bad move sets, it can be worth it since they're super useful attackers.
