Still no Luga/Articuno here, but I have been absolutely crushing it with eggs/catches/pokestops. Should be level 34 by tonight.

word has it that Zapdos is gonna be the best of the legendary birds, because it is going to be noticeably better than its alternatives.

that is, articuno has essentially same dps as a jynx or lapras. yea it lives longer, but since it can't be used for gym defense, the attack is probably more important.

Moltres isn't going to outdps flareon.

electric though - zapdos is expected to be a noticeable improvement over jolteon in both dps and survivability.

so if you only have candy to power up 1 legendary, zapdos may be your best choice since it's actually an improvement over other things you could have. (granted jynx and lapras aren't nearly as common as flareon, so moltres is probably the least valuable powered up)

I couldn't find a list of the odds of the current different hatches in 10km eggs, only the combined odds of all eggs. I quickly made one myself so I figured I might aswell share it. Fyi Chinchou has recently been removed

Actually there is, I just changed the names. There are no common pokemon in 10km eggs so the correct terms would be Uncommon, rare and ultra rare.

Added Gyarados, Dragonite and Porygon to the pokedex today only a candy away from a Porygon 2 aswell so I'll get that on my evening walk. 203 caught 212 seen atm

I don't think there's a distinction there, really. If you have a 10k, it looks like the kinds of critters you can get are 4:2:1, regardless of what tier they are considered.

Right, because atm there are no commons in the 10km egg pool. Dratini used to be but dropped down to uncommon.

It's raining here in London on the last day of the event. I demand the event be extended another 2 weeks as compensation.

It sounds like Lugia will remain a rare Raid. Articuno/Moltres/Zapdos will be available in waves, at least initially.

I imagine legendary raids (with all birds) will just become rare occurrences once the summer is over.

"They" will be joined, they = Lugia & Articuno

But the way they list the rotation it seems clear articuno won't be available past July 31st, so why should we think lugia will?

So you're positing that Lugia might never be available in raids ever again? Can't see that happening, but no they have not said specifically either way.

with all the mega bonuses i felt obligated to play pretty much nonstop to take advantage. like 1 hour of play during the bonus is like a week of normal play for me.

i'm ready to regroup a bit.

Salty. Thought we had another 24 hours. Was literally hours from a lucky egg session that would get me to lvl35 but now I'll be just short.

Also went 0/3 on lugias today.

Agreed. Woke up extra early to play an hour or so before work, definitely felt like a grind.

started a 10 km egg right before the event ended so it only needs 3.3 km to hatch it

Got the right Tyrogue yesterday to finally finish my Kanto regional Pokedex. And I just spent 80 Rare Candies to evolve my Flaaffy and Chansey which puts me at 231 overall, only missing Granbull, Togetic, Girafarig and Unown.

Made 1.7m XP during the event which put me from almost level 33 to half way through level 34, seems pretty decent.

Surprised girafarig and Granbull are holding you up. I've hatched a gazillion girafarig. Head to vegas for snubbull they are everywhere there.

I'm missing wobbuffet, unown, and some more candy for ampharos, togetic, and feraligatr.

Snubbulls basically don't exist here, I've caught 3 (thankfully one of them 2 days ago for lots of candies). I'm up to 41 candies though after walking my Snubbull for 17 km in the last few days, so only 27 km to go now that the event is over. I've never hatched or seen a Girafarig.

I'm swamped in snubbulls and wobbuffets but have never seen a sandshrew or sandslash

Lol meanwhile I can't stop hatching Togepi. I think I have about 80 candies + 2 Togetic.

I'm yet to get a Tyrogue and any of its evolutions though. Dex at 204 caught 213 seen

only place I ever see wobuffets is in other peoples lineups during Lugia raids
