I have 4 gyms right now, this is currently pointless, right? I can only get 50 coins per day total? So I guess I just hope they get returned over 4 days?
You reach your daily max in like 2 hours with 4 gyms, so yeah, anything longer than that is pointless. I dunno, I get why they want to limit coins, but it would be nice if there were some more incentive for defending a gym, like stardust (beyond the little bit you get for feeding berries) or XP or whatever.

Not totally pointless in that the more gyms you have mons in the better your chances of having their return spread out over different days.
Turned up to a Charizard raid with like 7 people and my phone crashed just as I got there and wouldn't relog me until everyone else had defeated the raid. Annoying.
If you want to level up, head to a place with lots of pokestops that you haven't spun since the gym rework, crack a lucky egg and you get 500xp a spin, only works once but worth doing.
Did a raid with my fiancee, all of my pokemon died, but she killed the boss and I still got rewards (which included 8 rare candy, a tm, and 3 golden raspberries). Is that typical now?

Tyranitar raid was happening right around the corner so the gf and I headed over, nice little crowd of 6-7 people were already there. Took it down but neither of us caught him (think 2/8 of the group did). Fun stuff, reminded me of last summer when everyone was playing.

Yeah, I think if all your critters go down, you can rejoin right away until the boss goes down and then still get a chance to catch it. So you just rejoin as fast as possible with whatever 6 are auto picked for you.

I think it's a cool idea if you have access to a major city with lots of stops. It's not about getting a full level of stops. It's about getting more than 60k-70k experience in the form of "new" stops in a half hour compared to 60-70 evolutions in a half hour. It's possible in principle.
Getting stardust + maybe candy from giving berries to friendlies in gyms is def the best part of the new update. From what I understand it is about 5-10% chance of getting a candy.
Do you get raid passes back if you try to engage a raid boss, but quit before starting (say you're hoping others will join but don't)?
No, the pass is wasted if you can't beat the mon and nobody else shows up. They really need to put in a feature that lets you see how many people are in the lobby.
Anybody experience an issue where it errors when you tried to feed berries to mon in gyms? Just had this happened at two different gyms. Adding mon/using pokestop works fine.
Is there any sort of reference guide for best uses of Fast/Charge TMs? Got a fast one from a raid.
Did my first pair of raids today by knocking off a couple of Croconaws. Loled at the 'recommended group size' of five when me and one other won in 10 seconds. Caught both Crocs but spaced on a Pinap berry on one so only got 15 candies total.
Having a golden rasp is going to make feeding berries to gym pokemon really obnoxious. It always wants to default to a golden rasp and I could se myself or others misclicking.
I raided a snorlax successfully with 6 of us. Got my first charge TM. Seems like TMs seem really dependent on what mon and movesets you have. I used mine to upgrade my machamp from counter/heavy slam to counter/dynamic punch because machamp seems pretty important for raiding and I didn't have one with dual fighting moves.
