Trading (sigh) and PvP battles coming soon. Kinda meh on trading, feel like it will be way too easy to complete the dex now.

I think there is potential in it, but they have to restrict the trading somehow. If there isn't a restriction, Niantic is only hurting themselves. Why would a player go out and actually play the game (potentially spending real money) when they can just get together with their friends and trade away until their dex is complete.

Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

Gen2 coming and PvP battles are a nice plus though.

After around level 31 or so, yeah, I'd say so. I'm at level 33 and I'm now only focusing on powering up my best defenders to at least level 31 (I have a good amount of level >= 31 attackers that I don't think I'm powering up anymore).

I use IV Go (Android), there should be other apps and websites too. You can also estimate it from the amount of candy and dust needed for a power-up: https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/power-up-costs

I did player silver a long time ago but for a lot of pokemons I don't have much recollection about them and whether they're rare or not.

It kinda ruins it because i'm not sure how excited i should be or how much effort i should make to get it

I read this as berries first. That's really cool for rarer Pokémon. More candies

man all the gen 2s i've encounter have a tiny catch circle and they're really far away. i have no idea if any of them are rare/good since i never played a pokemon game with gen 2. game has been really buggy since i updated it

Quick observation :

Golbat > crobat for 100 candies
Slowpoke > slowking for 50 candies + special item
Poliwhrl > Politoad for 100 candies + special item
Chansey > Blissey 50 candies (shocked at this)
Onix > steelix 50 candies + item

i'd appreciate any cliffs as i'm about to sleep and reddit is impossible ot keeup up with

scyther > red scyther for 50 candies + item
eevee has 2 other evolves and iirc 1 is daytime specific and the other is nighttime

Rename Eeve in Tamao for Umbreon. Sakura for Espeon. No idea how people figured that out but i just tried it and it worked for umbreon

Damages of attack seems to have changed : Water gun = 10, dragon breath = 12, hydro pump = 130, hyperbeam = 150, etc..

just did it for both. used my stronger eevee for the umbreon, which was a mistake. espeon gets way higher CP so do the espeon evolution on your strongest eevee
