Evolved my first Charizard today thanks to the event. Still missing Dragonite (30 candies shy) and Chansey at level 31.

I'm hoping to see my first Charizard in the wild during this event.

I really really wish I could do a D.C. grind while both promos overlap, but the five days of that are my exact five work days. #firstworldproblems

Will have to settle for another grind this coming Wednesday, the weather is supposed to be good for December (mid 50s) and I'm out of town the following week. If I get a Magby soon I may take a couple of week break after that, the only other thing I don't have is an evolved Togepi and that'll just take some walking.

Ran into a 2000+ CP venusaur but it ran after 3 ultra balls. RIP

Just ran into a 92CP Blastoise. Not even ashamed to say I spewed 6 ultras and a few berries. Got em.

Well, I was thinking about throwing some cash down to get some of those incubator boxes, but I really just see no reason to get any of these new boxes.

Walked for an hour earlier today and found 3x Charmander and 1x Bulbasaur, no Squirtles. Pretty happy with the outcome since I only need Charmander candy (32 more) and Bulbasaur candy (93 more). I'm gonna need some run good to evolve a Venusaur before the event is over

Well, I accidentally popped a lucky egg at an inopportune time to do a full 60+ upgrades when I had intended to just delete some potions, but with the time I had, I formalized my starter and Kabutops upgrades. My pokedex is now complete of the originals except for likitung and aerodactyl, and of the new ones, I still need the electrobuzz baby, igglybuff, pichu, cleffa, and the upgraded togepi (which isn't too hard to obtain if I decide I don't need any more dragon candy).

Coincidentally, I spent a good chunk of time around RJ's stomping grounds at the Capital Mall this holiday season. It is good hunting, although I didn't see any dratinis, laprases, or aerodactyls.

Hell I've only seen one each of the Lapras and Aerodactyl and I've been going down there for months.

I did see my first Charizard in the wild tonight. 39 CP.

Snagged a wild Charizard today. I had only ever seen 1 charmander before this event, and had never hatched one. Crappy cp but one more in the pokedex.

Just realized Lapras is the only Gen1 I still have to catch/hatch (minus the regionals/legendaries). Only other four I'm missing are;

Charizard - Have enough candies to get one, but am waiting for the event to end in case I catch a higher Charmander that my current highest.
Venusaur - One candy shy
Wartortle - 92 candies. Waiting for event to end.
Muk - At 19 candies. Have seen 0 Grimer/Muk in the wild, hatched a Grimer with 18 candies a while ago, and just made him my buddy (swapped out Charmander due to event)

Do only have one of the five Gen2 babies. But feels good man.

I've been stuck on 138 from gen 1 for over a month.

Lapras/Aerodactly/Dragonair/Dragonite/Tangela (despite hatching >100 5k eggs)

Haven't seen a dratini for about 4 months. been walking 250km with my dratini, currently at 70 candies

Same, at 150km for my dratini, I havent seen one in freakin forever. No Lapras/Dragonair/MrMime/FarFetched/kangaskhan

Which gen 2 pokemon did you get!!! I havent seen one not even in a gym

4 of my last 5 10km hatches were gen 2. I'm pretty sure they hatch at a high rate

Is it SIMPLY AMAZING!!! my biggest fear though is Evolving one and it has a crappy special move. Imagine getting stuck with a dragonite and having Dragon Claw. I would throw my phone out of my car.

Dragon Claw is dragonite's best special move though...

NICE, I have one in the works right now then. The last 10km egg got me an aerodactly. Are they only the 10km eggs cause the 5k ones for sure arent giving out any gen 2 unless I run that bad.

Getting dragon breath and not steel wing as your base attack is the most important thing for a dragonite, but for attacking, dragon claw is better than hyper beam is better than dragon pulse.

You're probably just looking at the number next to the attack name on the game screen. That is indeed the number of damage but it doesn't take into account energy used and the time the attack takes.

Hyperbeam does more damage but also take a lot more time while Dragon Claw is a quick attack so if you adjust and look at DPS (damage per second) only, Dragon Claw>Hyperbeam.

That and the fact Dragon Claw has STAB (same type attack bonus) which adds 1.25x to the damage while hyperbeam doesn't because it's a normal type attack and not dragon

Elekid from a 10k. I hatched a 10k and 2 5ks in short order that were Elekid, Doduo, Seel. All 3 added pokedex entries as the latter two gave me enougg candies to get Dotrio and Dewgong.

Re: Dragonite talk. Made Dratini my buddy during the 4x buddy candy event and then hatched a 10k dratini that have me over 50 candies to get my dragonite. Seen probably 5-6

At very beginning of new babies, I hatched serveral iggly buffs, a pichu, and a smoochums in short order. But for the last 2 weeks I haven't hatched any new babies and I've hatched quite a few eggs. Also, I am getting all 5km eggs right now, wtf? And I assume the hatch probabilities for different mons that you find on the internet are bogus? My 5km eggs seems like, 30% nidoran, 15% paras, 15% venonat, 15% oddish, 15% bellsprout, 10% something else.
