I wouldn't think so, I assume they have a set random chance to take the place of any Zubat/Pidgey/Rattata/whatever spawn (maybe .5 to 1%). The fewer spawns you get the worse, yeah, but if you get the common spawns then you should have that set random chance.

My area (housing suburb, all concrete) has almost entirely common spawns, which sucks for regular play but has been good for trying to find Ditto. I've got two so far.

Of course if there's another metric to the spawn then ignore all this.

I don't know. I was in a large city today, and found 2 dittos in the first 10-15 Pokemon. Meanwhile, I'm for 0/a lot in my rural home, and nearby small town.

I just wonder if ditto has its own rare spawn characteristics, and it just shows up as a common Pokemon. Rather than being just x% of common Pokemon are dittos.

Can a Ditto be found in ANY common, or just the Pidget/Rattata/Zubat combo?

The two I've found are from Pidgey and Rattata, and I know someone specifically said ITT they got one from a Zubat. Can you get them from ANY mon that hatches from a 2k egg?

Man why did they make squirtles a low catch chance pokemon? ****ing ****ty 300 cp one has the red circle around it and escapes a couple ultra balls and runs away, I'm so close to a blastoise

Made level 30 after an 8 hour grind day.

Only 1 10K egg, Omanyte. Bunch of 2k eggs, though, as opposed to all 5s.

The Kabuto nest is no more. It is now...a ****ing Rattata nest. Seriously. WTF? Who needs a nest of those things? On the plus side, I did catch 5 more Ditto, all from rats.

I mean the exercise is good and I wanted to make level 30, and I do have fun catching things, but this was one of my "worst" outings as far as that goes.

So if i only have 35 evolutions to do tonight i'm supposed to use a lucky egg anyway right?

Could also evolve without lucky egg i guess

Not sure what's optimal considering I don't pay for the game and a lucky egg 80 coins at a time is not so easy for me to get

Well shockingly enough I can actually afford to spend a bunch of pokemon if i wanted to but I kinda like to keep it this way. I find it more challenging and driving. Also there is something to be said about standardization and measuring progress. Without the information of how much was spent on the game, saying "I am level 30" isn't really telling of the level of achievement accomplished.

Just my 2 pokecoins and I don't look down at all on people spending money on the game. Matter of a fact i'm probably not going to be able to resist the temptation once I don't have as much to accomplish

Thought they may have changed it when they adjusted the CPs. Kinda made sense in my head that they might make Vapes more unlikely if they were becoming even stronger.

I did a lucky egg yesterday and did roughly 75. Did another 30 or so today without a lucky egg because I don't buy coins either. Waiting seems to be the worst option.

I'm also still getting regular distributions of eeveelutions. Now have 10 vaporeons over 2kcp lol.

jolteon and flareon became stronger too. they shoulda made all 3 less likely.

Got two nice lucky egg mass evolves in during the promo, which is great. Just 100k short of 30 now. I must not be as fast with my fingers as you folks, because I don't think I've ever gotten 70 evolves in during one egg, but I do the best I can.

I'd be fine with them straight up removing Vaporeon from the game. If they had made Eeve a rare pokemon instead of a super common one (I always have >100 candies and do 3/4 Eeve per mass evolve session) the "balance" of the game would have been so much better.

I've never powered up an eeve evolution and it sucks to me to have 5 vaporerons in my top 12 mons. Also it makes all the other water type pokemons useless. I grinded hard for a Blastoise and a 100% Poliwrath that I love with bubble/hydro pump but there's no way to justifiy powering them up if i can get a 2k vaporeon pretty much any time i want

^ Same could be said for charizard/flareon and many other examples

They come up with a formula based on actual game stats so they're not guilty for those pokemons being this strong but they do control spawn rate and they could also propose more incentive for diversification with rules such as 1 pokemon species in your team of 6 for example or even better one pokemon specie per gym

For my region/area (Espoo, Vantaa, and Helsinki, Finland), Eevees were somewhat rare at the beginning but after Halloween it's been pretty crazy how common they have become (same goes for Poliwag, Bellsprout and Nidoran): I think I had 350 Eevee candy before my recent mass evolve couple days ago (255 currently, as I only evolved the "amazing" ones I had). And yeah, it's kinda boring always use my best Vapo and Jolt (around 1072 and 673 battles attacked respectively the last time I checked), but they get the **** done, so gotta roll with it.

Definitely seems like eggs are much rarer at poke stops, and 2km eggs are much more common. Could just be variance, but for awhile 5km eggs were by far the most common for me. Lately though, I only get 2km eggs.
