Woke up today with 24 Gastly candies and no Gengar in the dex. Catch over a dozen Gastly and Haunters and evolve a Haunter to get Gengar in the dex.

Not even an hour later I stumble upon a Gengar in the wild.

God bless this halloween promotion and god bless even more the parc in my city that is a charmander nest. Went from 14 charmander candies to 108 in the space of 1 hour

The best thing about this is the buddy walking bonus. I'll be able to evolve a couple water pokemon that have been sitting around forever and I had 0 chance of getting in my area.

I finally hit 142/142 last night. Took me a long time to walk/run my way to an Omastar.

I hatched 581 eggs, about 40 of which were 10ks. On one day a few weeks ago I hatched my first Snorlax, Hitmonlee, Kabuto and Omanyte back to back which was pretty insane. If it wasn't for the eggs I would not be anywhere close to 142 because there are so many things I've never seen in the wild.

I'm at 342 Magikarp candy. I was at 283 at this time yesterday. Caught 2 plus transferred 8 or 9 and walked 6 or 7km. I should be done by the end of this promotion.

Just caught a Hypno and a Haunter by taking out my garbage. Maybe I can evolve another Gengar this weekend! This has definitely increased my interest in getting out the next few days, and going into DC on Halloween is now a lock.

This new Halloween addition has been a pleasant surprise! Cubone and Marowak added. A lot more uncommons showing up too. Not as much pidgeys and rattatas.

I'm .03 away from four 10k eggs hatching, and I don't feel like getting dressed to leave the house, so I'm setting my phone down in one corner of my apartment, waiting five minutes, and then moving it to the opposite corner.

Please, Pokemon Gods, don't punish my laziness with a Scyther, Onyx, Pinsar and Eevee.

Doesn't work very well for me at home. Once left it on while I slept, and I only got credit for .01km. It does work well for me at work as I work in the mountains and the GPS has trouble narrowing down my exact location.

People still play this? I remember seeing tons of people by my house when it first came out but after a week or two, I haven't seen anyone. For those of you who still play, have you noticed a huge decrease, too?

Far and away the highlight of the trip, though, was finding and catching my first Hitmonlee. I haven't seen a shadow on my tracker in so long now I initially thought I was seeing things. Nope, that's a Pokémon I don't have yet. Flipped on a tracker to get the exact location (you're damn right I used a tracker) and saw I had plenty of time to walk there, no rush. Took quite a few balls but got it in the end.

I've been frustrated by the lack of a Lapras spawn while in DC. Multiple players I've talked to casually down there have said they've caught one. I think I might need to get their earlier - a group of players one day said the spawn was usually around 12:30-1:00, but a guy today told me he saw one spawn much earlier than that (10:30).

Next Monday I'm going to get off work at 2 am, go home and shower/change, then head into DC for when the metro starts running at 5 am. That way I can grind from like 6:30 am until noon and hopefully, finally, nab a Lapras.

I have no idea where to try to find an Aerodactyl.

Four to go to finish the dex, walking my Charmander now.

i dont think ive seen an aerodactyl in DC. take a trip to NYC i guess lol

do you mostly frequent FDR when you go into dc proper or anywhere else of note? i have only been there once and it was awesome. i think me and the mrs are gonna be going into the city this weekend (probably saturday since the marine corps marathon is sunday)
