I'm level 24 and almost never see 1000 cp pokemon and when I do it's like a fearow or golbat

its a mobile game where you catch pokemon by swiping up on your phone and fight pokemon by tapping. how hard were you expecting it to be?

It just a map that shows where they are - that location is not really near me anyway.

By sleep mode, do you mean when you have the app open but your phone is upside in battery-saver mode, or when your entire phone is asleep?

Seems like it's okay value if you hatch eggs a decent amount. I walk a bit at work, but can't use that to hatch as it would kill my battery in just a few hours and I'm not able to charge it until I'm off work usually. Then again, if you wanted to spend money on the game, you could just buy coins.


I'm lvl 25 (but will make 26 tonight as I have nearly 100 evolutions ready to go), 114/115, but will be 117/117 after the evolutions.

I probably need to grow up a little, but I felt like a champion when he hopped up onto my shoulder



also, I'd totally buy the go plus as I've def spent double that on this game, but it's soooo damn ugly. like, picture me ****ing wearing that at work. lol

assuming you can just have it in your pocket (or maybe like a house arrest ankle monitor), I'll probably buy it just to know that every step I'm taking is counting. I could realistically get 100 candies for the 1km pokemons in 10 or 11 days...

pretty sure I'm in this for the long haul. I just can't imagine not playing when I'm walking my dog every night, we've always walked 1-3 miles or so every night since I got him, so it's not like I'd lose interest bc I'm walking him anyway, and wtf else am I gonna do while we're walking? it sometimes annoys me that I can mute the game and my Spotify will play through the speakers but with earbuds, you gotta hear the music on top of Spotify, but other than that I can't think of a reason I'd quit any time soon.

I got pretty excited the other day while playing. The game gliched and gave me an extra magikarp candy.

I caught 2 magikarp since I started walking mine. I had only caught 10/hatched 4 in the 2 months that I've been playing. Hope the game keeps helping on my quest to 400.

I just hit level 23 90/90 with 12 I could evolve but I'm waiting for a mass evolve or just higher CPs.

I feel this is how the game is the most fun. use it to explore new areas. For example I've driven by Riverside in CA many times thinking it was ghetto and only took a drive there as it has been mentioned in the Reddit thread and I discovered all sorts of cool stuff, little cafes, unique architecture and history. Load up a podcast/audible book while walking and it's good use of time.

been walking around for bellsprout candy, hatched two this weekend to get to exactly 100 candies and got the razor leaf / solar beam Victreebel! Vaporeons here I come!

Went to a park that was a known Charmander nest the other day… As we were entering the park there was a big poster on the guard post where you pay your park fee that says "attention Pokémon go players" here are the rules and it listed five or six rules in the park regarding speed limit, not pulling over to the side etc. It was the first time I'd seen printed signs about Pokémon GO in a public place. There's a lot to do in the park… Golf course, horses… Etc. as we are slowly meandering through the park Charmander a popping up left and right along with a few other cool Pokémon's and they were still signs posted on the side of the road about Pokémon GO where you can and can't go etc. and I'm thinking this seems a bit excessive all this PSA about Pokémon go. How popular can this place be? We were just cruising thru briefly on way to visit family and thought we would just check it out before making an official hunt later in the week.

So 20 minutes later we are pulling out with:





PLUS 5 Charmanders. Tons of PG players there...guess I know why they have all the signs all over the place! We will definitely be back.

not sure im using this right. sometimes it will show pokemon in my general area and sometimes only in the small circle i have selected. anyone know why?

Make sure the arrow in bottom right is not highlighted or it will only show you the area around where you are currently at.

More often than not it is right...not 100% but enough to be worth using. We have scanned other areas that we will be visiting ahead of time, like the charmander park mentioned above and it's very active so I know it's probably right. But you can select another area by tapping the area and tell scan it. Obviously you have to go to that area to see / catch but that's normal.

Experienced a glitch I've never seen before battling. The screen was black during the battle except for the healthbars, switch and runaway buttons. I could still attack but couldn't dodge which was kinda annoying but I dealt with it. Went to another gym and the same thing happened. Signed out/restarted the app which didn't fix the issue immediately.

Anybody else occur this at some point?

Did another mass evolution today. Finally got Jolteon and Flareon to finish the Eevee evolutions. Finished Poliwrath Clefable and Tentacruel. Got a Machoke. Pokedex up to 117 after hatching a scyther and finding a Magma on the street.

Level 25 now.

Sleep meaning the screen is turned off and in your pocket or elsewhere. App still needs to be running. Apps like MapMyRun track distance just fine that way.

Battery Saver mode has more restrictions and I doubt it would work.

It would be nice to use if you jog/run because that way I don't have to keep the phone in my hand and constantly have to make sure the screen saver doesn't kick in.

EDIT: At least on Amazon it seems like they have sold out and you can only get it right now from third-party sellers for $105. :!

Are they ****ing serious with the design of Cloyster?

So I've had 2 buddies thus far, a Clefairy that I needed like 30 candies to hatch, and it happened in like 3 days because I walked around a lot, but also had one come out of an egg with candy, and also found two in the wild in places where there are never decent Pokemon.

After I evolved it, I moved onto Pikachu, I got about 15 candies in 2 days but a Pikachu also showed up in my neighborhood at like 1am in a spot where there is never, ever, ever anything good. It was the first time I've ever seen Pikachu in my city, and it was in a total random, very quiet spot. Probably a coincidence but seemed strange that those 2 just so happened to pop up while they were my buddy
