Hey, if you are an Android user, I worked up a guide to help with performance issues associated with Pokemon Go.

I use an ADB (Android Debug Bridge) trick to lower the resolution (this improves performance because you are using the GPU/CPU to render less pixels worth of info). Changing the resolution will make the display look wonky, so most users opt to change the DPI as well to adjust the icon sizes (I can't otherwise see a difference between the two on my 5.2" Nexus 5x display). This second step will sometimes break some app functionality, like Android Pay and some messangers, or make UI elements act funny, but they should make PoGo run better.

All of this is with NO root and is reversible with a few commands. This way, even if it makes stuff act funny, you can just quit doing it (or just use the guide for when you are going to PoGo/game and then reverse it when you are done).

I managed a 96% Zapdos, best legendary I've caught by far. Think next closest is a 91% Articuno. My Lugia and Moltres catches have been awful. Mid 80s at best.

Heh, I went out for a couple raids tonight, first a Zapdos that MrsWookie caught and I didn't (both mediocre). There was a Lugia nearby, so we did that too. Mine I caught, 15/14/15. MrsWookie's was perfect and ran.

Been lurking a hot minute, and trying to raid when I can but that's not often. Anyway, caught up with a group today and caught this:

Stopped and solo'd an Exeggutor quick on the way to a Zapdos raid. Have a 91% Exeggutor so was just looking to pinap him and get some candy. Turns out I caught a 100%. Not a bad pit stop.

nice! My executors are mediocre.

I am probably not going to do anymore legendary raids tomrrow. I have about 8 raid passes left that I am going to save for whatever comes next (eagerly awaiting for that Japan announcement in like 3.5 hours to see if anything else legendary is in the works).

My final tally is below:
Lugia, 12 caught of 25 attempted (2 98% IV)
Articuno, 8 caught of 16 attempted (1 96% IV)
Moltres, 15 caught of 28 attempted (2 87% IV)
Zapdos, 16 caught of 25 attempted (1 96% IV)

Total Legendary Pokemon Caught: 51 (53+% catch-rate)

My Moltres is my only regret. 87% wasn't just my best caught, it was my best encountered as well. I just ran bad there.

Whoa, all the birds are loose around me.

From what I've gathered;

The four released birds will continue to appear through the end of the month
Mewtwo will be released at some point (Sep 1st?)
In order to participate in a mewtwo raid you must have defeated a raid boss at the gym the mewtwo spawns at.

Edit - Also appears that these raids will be known about 8-9 hours in advance. So you'll have time to organize groups if you're on discord/FB

Saw Gen 3 has been added to the code. So, looking forward to seeing them sometime around Christmas.

Still missing the hitmons, lapras and snorlax from gen 1. With more pokemon added to eggs my chances of ever getting them are getting smaller and smaller..

lol im stilll missing aerodacyl dragonaire and dragonite... plus of course several from the 2nd reaease johto i think. I am like lvl 34.3 now tho! and have over 2k pidgey candy saved up for whenever next dbl xp will be and 13 lucky eggs (plus rats and furrets uneveolved) Almost maxed out pokemon storage now, will have it soon.

If you have hatched any tyrogues, you may have your hitmon problem solved. Too bad you didn't get your Lapras during the ice event.

I haven't hatched any Tyrogue unfortunately, it's the only baby pokemon I'm missing. Meanwhile I've hatched so many Togepi and caught 2 wild Togetic, so I'm already prepared for Togekiss in gen 4 lol
