I haven't been playing much lately but damn these special items. Just got my 6th King's rock. Have 3 unusable upgrades, but have never gotten a metal coat or dragon scale.

And if I hatch one more mantine...

Man, hatching 10Ks, or even any egg, feels so lame after the Easter event. Pineco became my most common 10K hatch yesterday, here's the 10K summary:
- 8 Pineco
- 7 Mantine
- 6 Dratini (first hatched one ever #606)
- 4 Larvitar (1 eggstravaganza 10K)
- 3 Gligar
- 3 Chansey (first hatched one ever #~610)
- 3 Militank
- 2 Mareep
- 1 Skarmory
- 1 Lapras (1st gen2 hatch #950)

Might as well throw in the stats for the evo items while at it, been tracking these since spin #9657:

I finally got an upgrade today for my first Porygon2. Also had a couple decent hatches yesterday (played for a couple hours in DC, current nest is Omanyte) - Chansey, Phanby, an evolve worthy Chikorita, but otherwise I continue to be pissed off about 75% of the time an egg hatches.

I really need at least one more Mareep so I can do that evolve.

yea speaking of terrible egg hatches, since the game started i only have gotten 3 10k eggs, then during the event i got 3 more 10k eggs. 1 was a mareep which was awesome. the other 2.....porygon. like literally the worst thing i could've gotten and two of them, such bs, they got moved from 5k eggs to 10k during the event and that's just my luck.

but i spun 2 more after the event! so i'll see what those are

Fk u mantine, wooper, pineco, gligar, girafarig, stantler, babies. Only good that happens now is dratini and larvitar. It really just boils down to the fact that all the gen 2 Pokemon blow.

Looks like we got a grass festival.

Seems like a bunch of uninteresting pokemon are going to spawn more frequently than other uninteresting pokemon. Only one i need is Sunkern, seen only one so far.

During the water event you either got Squirtle or Totodile spawning frequently. Chikorita/Sunkern are all I care about so knowing my luck I'm in a Bulbasaur biome

I don't need any grass types but wouldn't mind having some more powerful Venusaurs/Victreebels for gym work. 6-hour lures are cool though (especially when there's a stop right by your condo )

for the water event i actually managed to clear out my 5k eggs and had nothing but 2k eggs when it ended. it was glorious these past couple weeks, getting hatches regularly, and non regular hatches at that.

and its done. 9 5k eggs back again.

Finally got a metal coat, Scizor or Steelix?

Scizor has much higher cp, both seem kind of useless

Scizor can be a good generalist attacker: great dual typing, great probability for dual STAB moves, resistance for lots of types, fire being only the only weakness. Steelix can be a viable defender if some day CP doesn't dictate one's position in a gym.

It finally happened. From my 458th egg, I have completed my gen1 pokedex, other than the Asian and Aussie regionals.
