Saw a Togetic in the wild the other day but it ran away after one ball

Togepi hatch rate has been significantly increased for the event. Hatches from the 2 km eggs currently, like many other rare ones too, IIRC I hatched 3 Togepi yesterday.

Yeah I've hatched a couple Togepi aswell + luckboxed a wild Togetic. Togekiss is apparently going to be powerful when gen 4 is released so I can't complain

FYI, tons of gen 1 and gen 2 pokemon are going to get new evolutions in gen 4. Magmar, Electabuzz, Rhydon, Togepi, Gligar, Lickitung, Porygon, Aipom just to name a few. It might be too early to focus on that though

So i ask a legit question, how do you know what gen 2 starters are? cos i looked all over niantecs page and couldnt find anything about it. No one answers me and i get this.... really hospitable.

I went out to grind hard today in the last day of the event. walked about 24km, gained over 700k xp. I hatched a Shuckle, found a Houndour, evolved Bayleef, Meganiam, Quilava, Porygon2, Dolphan.

I only need Togetic, Ampharos, Houndoom, Sunflora, Typhlosion, Unown and Usaring to complete the dex once again.

My legs are spent though, completely.

believe it or not, not trolling... first pokemon game i have ever seen... People are using terms from previous games that i am not familiar with. I read all patch/update info from niantec. and then ppl throw around terms like gen 1 gen 2 etc, and im like huh cos the maker of the game has never used these terms. Only starters io knew about were the ones you could start pokemon go with, charmander, bulbasuar, squirtle and pikachu.

As of today a single pokemon's IVs and moveset (and weight and height?) are made dynamic/random per user, similar to how CP was randomized earlier. Apparently moveset is the same for players >= level 25, and CP for players >= 30, as was before, so probably IVs are the same too for level >= 30.

Seems weird, like, what are they trying to accomplish with this? All level 30+ players still see the same critters, just like before. Does the spoofer epidemic consist of a bunch of people at level 24?

Spoofers get their information from bots who scan the game for them and those bots arent level 30+ so i imagine it makes it harder to go catch all the 100 dratinis out there

My interest in this game has really tailed off after a few weeks of bad weather/illness/cherry blossoms. I have fun when I go but I'm far less motivated to do so now, even though the weather has been generally fantastic.

Maybe my immersion in Zelda is taking some of the edge off. I do want to play more now that the weather is consistently nice, if only for the increased exercise and all that.

Scanners use bots/accounts that are only played to level 5, as this only takes few minutes per account to achieve. Getting a bot account to level 30 takes a lot of work/botting, i.e. time.

The twitter bot I sometimes follow has always reported level 30 stats, so I figured that was common.

so since i dont know IV till i catch it and appraise it, this has 0 effect on me then?

OK, interesting, never seen nor used level 30 scanners myself ever so far.

Basically yes, though if you catch the same Pokémon with your friend who's on a different level, the properties of the Pokémon might vary greatly.
