I don't think you need to go to any waterfront. Just a good local park with a decent spawn density will still have a ton of water spans.

On my way to work this morning I opened the app, in the car mind you, and saw a Lapras in the wild near my neighborhood. I didn't actually see it, but it was on the radar right before I hit the speed lock. Tells me I may be in good shape to catch one or two in the wild! This makes me happy!!

I keep hatching new gen 2s out of 10km eggs and they keep sucking bigly. Are there any even worth anything besides larvitar?

Mareep is rare and Ampharos is a very good pokemon (high max CP and counters Vaporeon nicely)

other than that the answer is nope : Suadowood or whatever his name is + Skamborik appear on my radar at least once every day. Mantine is now as common as a rattata with the event and gligar is worthless

im lvl 32 ive only ever seen 1 dratini.... no dragonite or dragonaire... never hatched one either. Was hoping to see some in this event, but none so far.

Haven't seen any Dratini but Magikarp are everywhere which is nice. Pinap berries are nice too.

Evolved a Magickarp, wasn't red but has Bite/Outrage. I already have one with Bite/Hydropump and Bite/Dragon Pulse.

I have walked my Dragonite for 110 KM to finally max it out and I got a dratini with a ton of candy out of a 10km egg.

Binked a 96 % Chansey from a 10K, insta-evolved (I was already at 41 Chansey candies prior the hatch) it into a glorious Zen Headbutt + Dazzling Gleam Blissey. Feels good, man, especially when the last almost 10 or so 10Ks have been utter garbage (Mantine, Pineco, Gligar). I like this game again. Also caught several good (IV > 90 %) Magikarp today, but I will be holding to my candy (close to 700 currently) in the hopes of a Shiny one.

now that we've seen a variety of event types, i can say that i strongly prefer the 'change what spawns' events to the 'give extra stuff' events.

Pink pokemon was probably my favorite event, but this water event is also pretty cool. Halloween a step down, but still alright.

double xp or double stardust or double candy etc...nah. I'd much rather see different pokemon spawn.

niantec has never said anything about releasing gen 1 pokemon.... we are on Kantu and johto region and i think we have all of those as far as i know
