ffs guys just friend request anyone in your soloqueue who talks and doesnt seem like a selfish mouthbreather. rinse and repeat for a few days and boom, you have the ability to (more often than not) function as a team

this is such a narrow thing to be tilted about anyways, competitive coming soon.

whenever i run as a premade 6, people swap responsibilites each game, talk, use callouts, and we ravage the teams made up of soloqueuers. when i play with 2 friends and 3 randoms, i usually get killed. this is not rocket science. add more people to your friends list.

The problem is the hours I can play usually. but most people are not going to play that way. if *most* people play the same kind of selfish BS i see here and in game, this game will not be successful. It's partly overwatch's problem: support is not fun. It's not rewarded. Thus, people won't play it. They'll opt to get their asses kicked rather than help their team out. It's human nature.

CS is a team game, but it's about killing and everyone's on the same level. If 5 people go AWP in a pub it's not nearly as problematic as 5 widows even though 5 AWPS are (arguably) more easily countered. Overwatch team composition is both its strength and weakness.

I find it weird that people will go out and buy a team game and look down on people who want to play as a team.

I like playing as Mercy, I feel like I'm getting decent at her. But it's frustrating when I want to play Soldier for a while, and the team ends up with no healer and no tank.

Green line is healing per minute. It's nice to see a graphical representation of improving, particularly as my winrate and so my MMR was increasing too.

I guess next up is learning a tank. Reinhardt seems too boring from my 10 hours of him in the beta, Roadhog or Zarya look like the best bets.

no one is looking down on you for wanting to play as a team. obviously the best way to do this is with a team or higher levels

and if you want to play soldier then I also wouldnt look down on you for playing soldier

Winning is more fun to me than playing any specific character (and getting steamrolled) so I'll happily play a tank/support but I don't blame the random casual gaming dad of 2 kids who plays 2 maps a night for picking Hanzo because he's fun or whatever.

Like someone else said, it's not hard to find 5 likeminded friends to play with. If you're on ps4 just add me.

Its this dumb idea that the 5 people on your team are headless chickens with no team play who all pick hanzo and the 6 people on the enemy team are super try hards and go 2 healer 2 tank comps that wreck you

if people on your team are bad at team play, the people on the enemy team are bad at that as well

if you are playing on a low level and can't stand low level things like people running in 1vs6 then get a team.

I think I am just horrific at long distance shooting. My winrates with Windowmaker/Pharah are sub 30% but I am over 60% on Genji and turret dwarf. Pretty much 50% with Lucio and shield dude.

my best non torb character is now hanzo

sadly at like 55% with pharah with tons of volume. meta supports her these days and i cant seem to be elite with it. one good pharah means i have to go pharah.

like 92% on torb with a 6/1 elim:death ratio lol

Honestly the high winrate with Torb is probably evidence I am playing against very weak competition that still can't hit the turrets.

The champ is just a very strong one.

Torb is actually considered one of the weaker heroes in high level play. But yeah, he's good in solo q.

When I'm solo queue'ing I just accept I'm going to be Reinhart or Lucio 80%+ of the time for us to win. I'm often Reinhart with no healers, but it seems to work out pretty well.

I'll go Genji if we have essentials covered, and torb/rarely bastion if the other team is truly bad.

But we've been playing with 5-6 for a while we can rotate around.

I gather he's really strong in console play.

Torb is actually more about his gun than his turret imo

Feels like i have a fair shot against widows regardless where they're at with it

He's pretty quickly neutralized by good teams.

Seems that McRee and widow are much less a requirement on console though

yeah a good genji or pharah just completely humiliates torb, or anything teamwork-oriented

Is there a way to check anyone elses but yours stats at the end of the game?

I tried out playing Hanzo like I play solider (mid range fighter) instead of the Youtube wall climbing and pseudo snipe way and now I am getting close to 50%.

There is no way I am doing this right. It makes me sad I am such a ****ty sniper I will never get good at my favorite character. But I don't want to put in the time to get good at Hanzo.

Oh, well.

you just spam arrows in the general direction of the enemy. they have a hurtbox the size of canada so you literally will ping headshots for no reason. use scatter arrow every time it's up. rinse repeat

you can look up other people on masteroverwatch.com or watcher.gg I suppose - but that's overall, not at the per-game level.
