haha, that map is so imbalanced you can basically just zerg from spawn as defense and win. they must've been awful.

Turns out that if you play in the morning and afternoon of weekdays, there's nobody online from my friend's list.

Annoying game earlier today where our two tanks just zerged in every single spawn and didn't wait for anyone while half the opposition team was behind them, killing the other spawners. Then the tank started whining (and giving death threats) that I wasn't healing him. Goodtimes.

On PS4, how do you accept an invitation from a friend to join a group? This shouldn't be too hard and for the life of me, couldn't figure out how to do it last night. I see how to invite a friend, but no accept an invitation.

Also, when we did somehow form a group, I couldn't hear any audio from the friend or the other players.

And then when you quit a game, it doesn't take the group with you (even when you are group leader)

Very confusing. Blizzard needs to fix that.

This is probably the worst party / invite / group system I've ever seen on PS4 - coming from Destiny, which is very good - and then The Division which is an absolute masterpiece (in this aspect), I expected a lot more from Blizzard. Thankfully the rest of the game is pretty good

Inviting others is pretty easy as you've found. Go to social, X on them, Invite to group. You can also do it from press triangle on the main screen, "Edit" next to your player icon I think it says.

The invited player will then get a PS4 system message. It appears top left, and while it's there a press on the central PS button on the controller will take you to it where you can accept the invite. This is the easiest way. PS button again (or navigate dashboard) and when back in the game you will be in group.

If you miss the window, press PS button to go to the dashboard, go up to the top row and left along to notifications. From here you can find the invite message and accept as above. PS button again (or navigate dashboard) and when back in the game you will be in group.

When grouped, you can see icons for each player in the top right. One has a green crown, this is the group leader (the one who sent out the initial invites, usually). Group leader takes you in to games.

I haven't found how to leave games other than everyone leaving individually then going through the invite/group up routine again. Terrible lol.

This game does have chat audio - I have heard other players while solo on a very rare occasion. Due to the terrible grouping system you are MUCH better off making a "Party", again from the top row of the dash (similar invite system, but once a party is running you can see it in the list / just jump in if you're friends with at least 1 member). A chat party remains as people drop in/out of in-game group, so is very preferable for organisation. Sound quality is superior too, in general.

God. I'm sick of playing constantly against premade teams. Oh look, you combo-d your ults together for the ninth time this game. Isn't this FUN!

This game is insanely good.

Genji is so much fun. Once you are using all of his abilities and climbing walls/ blink striking places, he is pretty insane.

Going against bastions is so hilariously fun. I had 8 deflection kills in one game against a team with 2 bastions. I think they also switched off him with like 1/3 of the game left.

Yea i love killing me some scrub bastions. Occasionally you'll come across a good one but it's funny how easy he is to counter. Unless it's anubis... But i prefer to counter with widow, i'm a better sniper than i am a ganker.

Torbs turrets on the other hand are a nightmare.

A weird phenomenon i'm noticing are tanks raging at widows for not killing x fast enough. Like dude, i'd get around to killing that turret around the corner if i wasnt being chased around by 2 tracers and you werent running around swinging your hammer at random things without the team by you

I play genji as main and Reinhart as alt, then it's totally random based on what I feel like playing and what the team needs.

A good tank makes a pretty huge difference.

Hooked on Pharaoh and Lucio. Flying's pretty addictive, and Lucio's super fun especially on tracks where it's convenient to blow unsuspecting opponents off the map with his amp.

with no tank no support i go heals, but sometimes I wonder what the hell a tank is actually supposed to do. i've seen offensive reinhardts just wreck another team, and then i've seen them played extremely defensively. I know it's situational but I've seen both work. I like to play reinhardt offensively.

hihi any problems with hackers so far?

the news about 1500 chinese hackers being perma banned recently is well known.

but anyone have any personal experience or is it somewhat rare to find an anomaly like that in a random pickup game?

i just wanna know before i buy it
