I've been having some issues with the left joycon - occasionally it just stops working - several folks seem to have this issue too - http://www.polygon.com/2017/3/22/148...joy-con-repair
So far I've been able to fix that by simply putting the joycons in "charge mode" - attached to a docked console and then simply waiting 10 minutes. No way do I want to buy another controller (yet) or ship the hardware to Nintendo and wait a week for them to fix it.
Jesus Christ I am starting to lose patience with this console. Yesterday I was forced to do another "15 second reset", but that time it didn't work. The console straight-up would not turn on. Double-checked all my cables and followed all of the instructions on Nintendo's troubleshooting website, and I was very close to shipping the console their way for a fix.
Thankfully I thought I'd try one more "trick" - I figured if the console was stuck in sleep mode, then if I kept it off the dock (and thus not charging), it'd eventually run out of power. Recently turned it back on (while in dock mode) and all is good again.
Lesson: no more sleep mode for me.
Anyone else experiencing any hardware snafus?
