Re: NHL 12

Hey guys, been playing some NHL 12 on the ps3 with my roommate and we had something strange happen, maybe someone can tell us what happened?

We are playing "Be a GM" mode, and in our first season we did a fantasy draft and got Nugent-Hopkins. We played a full season, won the cup, etc. We did all the offseason stuff, re-signed all the players that didn't have contracts.

When we started our second season, Nugent-Hopkins was just gone. We've played a few games, he hasn't accumulated any stats for any other team, either in the NHL or the AHL. He's not injured on our roster. He's just missing. Can anyone enlighten us to what might have happened? And where we might be able to look for him?

He's in the WHL. You can still find him in the "Contracts" screen.

Aha! Found him in the juniors. Apparently he can't be recalled until next season, which seems ridiculous, but thanks for the help!

Ya you have the option at the start of the season to play him in the NHL or juniors. AHL is not an option. Once he's in the juniors and the season starts he's locked down there. On the plus side he doesn't lose a year off his entry level contract.

Re: NHL 12

I admittedly suck at this game somewhat, but I get so raged at playing with randoms in EAHL. If any of you aren't hardcore and super awesome at games like the regulars in here and want to play hit me up. I'd be cool with learning more advanced stuff from someone too if anyone is still active ITT. Like gap control if anyone has a video on that or could explain it to a tiny mind of hockey like myself that'd be cool.

Re: NHL 12

basically its the gap between the puck carrier and you (the defenseman) and you want to stay at a distance that is favorable to you. if you have enough help, at times you might want go in for the giant check or step up and try to poke it off of his stick and at other times you want to just stay with him and not let him do anything with the puck.

im sure some actual EASHL d-men can help you out more since there have been a fair amount of posts about it the last few years
