This game will probably come out in early September again and has added a few cool new features that you can see in this trailer

However while these threads are generally reserved for gameplay itself most people that participate play EASHL. Our team, the brwcrw consists of the following members: (Other teams are welcome to do similar writeups)

FatalCobraBite- Eric Rawbirts- Hawk is our best player. Without him we're a top 500 team, with him we're a top 100 team. He plays center but blows at faceoffs especially when we have a play on. However that's more than made up by his scoring ability. He's the sniper on the team and picks corners at will. He's also very crafty around the net. Unfortunately, he struggles with defensive zone coverage at times (and he drew it up!).

SecretSystem- Kemba Walker, Vinny Lecavalyay, Its a party in the USA, etc- He's our speedy forward. Leads the team in breakaways. Good defensive forward when he feels like trying in the zone. Rarely takes penalties and draws a ton. Will only shoot within 5 feet of the cage.

MrMossy84- DJ Swagkinnon, Barbara Streisand- Our best passing forward and by far our best forechecker. He's basically a pest to the other team and is very good at finding open space in front of the net. Although he is immune to blacking shots and also only shoots within 5 feet of the cage.

Nutshot2- Mister Blister, Anne Frank, Adam Banks Danny Tanner, etc- Probably our most versatile player. He'll tell you he's a better forward than defenseman but he's much better at the blue line. Very creative in the offensive zone and the powerplay should run through him more than it does. Leads the team in block shots and would probably lead the team in goals if he didn't miss wide open nets all the time.

Badger- Bill's protege, Dion Phenouf- Easily the most improved over the past calander year. The hard hitting defenseman has gotten much better with gap control and other defensive concepts. Still struggles a bit in the offensive zone but is getting much better. We'll blame that on his former team never giving him the puck. Keep your head up skating through the neutral zone if you're going against him.

TheCroShow- Omar Comin- He joined us in October of last year. Outstanding defensive forward that can put the puck in the back of the net when we're without some of our finishers when he's not snake bitten. Decides to get real with saucer passes from the half boards and can also play defense in a pinch.

Jeebs- Mike Miller, A Hard Post, The Backup Plan- Mainly plays goalie for us but is probably one of our more talented forwards. Stood on his head during our second title run and made our team way better when telling nutshot and I about gap control. He plays on like 12 teams but it's pretty clear where his allegiances are since we're clearly his number one choice.

Khaos- Anze Kopitarrgghh (spelled it wrong, I know)- I think the best way to describe him is a poor mans nutshot. Plays both offense and defense and does both well. We're not quite sure where his allegiances lie, but he's welcome if he does to play with the brwcrw.

Bosoxx05- Bill, Hawk Blows, Shooter McGavin, etc- I'm the puck moving defenseman with the rocket slapshot. I'm pretty sure the powerplay should be run through me but that's never going to happen. When I'm not disconnecting I'm usually putting on a clinic in the defensive zone. That is until a little 5' 6'' forward blows by me for a breakaway.

There's a couple other teams that post here but I won't say anything as I don't want my hard work to get deleted.

That's our team and our credentials speak for themselves. 2 RANGZ, We were ranked as high as 74th last year until we decided we weren't going to get much higher and stopped playing as much. We run a very simple style headlined by a 2-1-2 low forecheck and a quick counter attack. To sum it up we basically get drunk on the reg, good times on the reg, rangz on the reg, wins on the reg, basically all the **** most teams fantasize about.

Let the discussion begin!

We all know it's false. My power rankings: Hawk > Mossy > SS > Cro > loldefence

In all seriousness I wouldn't mind moving toward playing D next season. I enjoy the defensive aspect of the game more than anything.

I'm sure the game will be different with front of the net battles and ****. I can't wait for the broken glass hits!! Best improvement AINEC

So, NHL 12 will be NHL 11 plus...
- you can play the Winter Classic
- goalies can get knocked over
- goalies can fight
- you can hit players over the boards
- objectives added to Be A Pro
- some NHL Game Center-like stat display

That can't be everything. I seriously think a team of five programmers could do all that in a month. Meanwhile, EA says "CHA CHING!"

He also says there's a big announcement coming soon so that's probably not all. Can't blow your load too early.

Haha nice.

You just know the goalie fights/goalie losing a helmet is going to happen wayyyyy more frequently than it actually does in the NHL. But I'm all for the action in front of the net being more realistic, if it's executed properly.

I hope it's new announcers! When's the last time Gary Thorne and Bill Clement called an NHL broadcast?

The broken glass and players over the boards will probably happen less frequently than broken sticks. broken sticks brought a cool new element to the game but i can't say i ever had a complaint about it.

Try playing defense and going behind the boards to your other D with your stick breaking or breaking your stick on an outlet pass and see if you can go without complaining. Selfish forward

Bill Clement still does select Flyers games when Keith Jones is in the studio. Gary Thorne still calls the NCAA games for ESPN but hasn't called an NHL game because they obviously don't have the NHL anymore.

I'm obviously buying it. It was a reference to the episode The Contest.
