Good read. And I agree with you. Not sure if I want to commit that much time...hmmm. Decisions decisions.

sim the regular season til theres only 10-20 games left imo, if your team isn't good enough to be in playoff contention after simming then you have some offseason GM work to do. playing all 82 games 48 minutes is lol - unless youre like a 16 yr old on summer vacation with nothing at all to do.

I like this idea as well.

Hmm, well it's the 2011 Cavs with some free agent pickups. So I think I will have some work to do.

I haven't put this in in awhile - how are the roster updates/NBA Today now that the season is underway? All the rookies in?

Re: NBA 2K12

First impressions, as I finally played the game for the first time last night.

First I've gotta say I hate how they changed so many controls. does that qualify as a new game - just scrambling up half the controls? could hardly pull off any of my favorite dribble or attack the basket moves. meanwhile I shot like 90% on post-up shots because every baby hook back to the basket goes in. think i shot like 14/15 with david west against my friend. also don't really like how the ballhandler constantly loses the ball by dribbling it into guys legs or his own, I lost my dribble and turned it over like 5 times in one game using Westbrook just dribbling around the perimeter wtf.

my player seems like more of the same - except now you play in one fictional 'rookie showdown' game to determine where you're drafted. this kinda kills the realism for me since no such game exists. i didnt mind doing training camp, summer league etc but i guess most people wanna be in the nba immediately. the pre-draft interviews are a joke ,this game could really look to mass effect for some pointers on interesting conversation wheels. Here's a typical lame question -

"We're part of a rebuilding process right now, how do you think you'd fit in with that "

A - I'd fit in well
B- Not sure
C - I need to play for a winner
D - I'll give it a shot

This kind of 'deep' question seems to have very little actual impact except maybe tailoring which team will draft you. This reminds me of the pointless press conferences in last year's game - can't they come up with some more interesting answers, and outcomes of those answers?

the graphics look great, the music is mmm ok (hate the beginning music), honestly the game isn't much different than 2k11 besides ****** up all the controls.

The computer shoots from everywhere and no matter who takes the shot it goes in. Its impossible to guard anybody, every shot goes in

Any interest here in doing a fantasy draft (assuming that's an option) online association?

So basically what your saying is that if you dont block a shot then the computer never misses? Wouldn't that make the game like near on unbeatable?
