Yeah the C130 is extra powerful for sure. The first set of kills when he's rounding the corner in that new MP vid are from the C130, it rains bullets down right when he taps the trigger and he gets 4 kills.

It seems they stuck w/ MW name because of the single player campaign continuing. That doesn't mean in 2 years of development they can't add new features to the multiplayer.

What suggestions do you have for the multiplayer in mw2? I think cod4 was close to perfect besides for the lack of host migration and some spawning problems so I'm pretty happy that they didn't completely redo the multiplayer.

Im with you on the vehicles and lack of HC options in gametypes. But the WaW maps blow the CoD4 maps out of the water aninec. Unless you like stupidly small paintball style maps w/ no LOS longer than 50 feet.

The COD3 to COD4 jump brought in perks, killstreaks, customizable kits, balanced guns and a whole heap of other stuff that progressed the genre forward. This video is only showing us addons to what we have. Although i imagine closer to release date we will start to get the cream of the crop videos showing us more.

COD2 was just an updated version of COD1 with better graphics, new maps and a few extra weapons and the game was still amazing...MW2 is a direct sequel to MW1 just like COD2 was a direct sequel to COD1 idk why you're expecting such a drastic change...i could see them possibly making some big changes in the next game if they decide to move away from the modern warfare theme

i'm a run and gun player and i still think WaW maps are way better than COD4 maps, while 6 person teams aren't optimal on the bigger maps they aren't that bad but when you get 8-10 players per team those big maps like downfall and seelow are really fun
i can only think of 3 maybe 4 COD4 maps that i really like, with WaW there are only a few i don't really like...COD4 gameplay mechanics on WaW maps would be amazing

re: Modern Warfare 2 General Discussion
There is a game out there, I don't remember what it's called, that lets you choose where you spawn, anywhere on the map. That would be cool, it would need to be limited to playable locations and on ground your team controls, but would still be cool.
It would be cool if the maps where user-changeable in the game. Bazooka a building and it no longer offers cover for snipers, or it offers different cover. Need a new path? Use a satchel charge to punch a hole in a wall.
Those would be cool, but it's still going to be an excellent game. Hell, I would get it for 10 new maps for multiplayer and not much else...

I agree about the WaW maps being better overall. The middle ground for 6 vs 6 is somewhere in between but I'd prefer them on the larger side like WaW to prevent counter sniping with AK47's.

Battlefield: Bad Company has this and it works well, but the shooting/gameplay mechanics are pretty bad imo.

you want the map to be so big that you can snipe but an ak can't hit you? wtf?
i guess to each his own, not my idea of a good time.
