AFAIK it's a re-skin of Game of War, which I found to be a worse version of Clash of Clans and nothing but an endless amount of waiting for timers, to wait for more timers, to wait for more timers. Or you can pay money and bypass some timers so that you can wait for more timers.

Also seems like a replica of Plague Inc. which my daughter got me into and convinced me to spend $1.00 on it to get a faster timer and I felt dirty doing so.

I enjoy Plague Inc in small doses.

I have it on the PC. You engineer viruses and stuff to kill humanity before it finds a cure. Same game?

jaja

Neither one of us have even beat the Normal difficulty once yet. I couldn't turn down a chance to try to kill the world and see the deaths rack up.

If you're going to play a game where you do something, so that you can do something so that you can keep on doing something infinitely, then I recommend the idle/clicker games like Cookie Clicker. http://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker/ Clicker heroes is one that's on steam and there are a million of them on ios/android.

Basic rule of thumb - Never play a mobile game that can afford advertising on prime time TV. These games are always going to be whalers (ie: P2W, etc).

I am not sure how Plague Inc falls into the same category as the Clash of Clans re-skins. Completely different game.

yea, after a few days of play I can see this. I had hoped for something a bit more strategic w/all the ads I saw on TV

It really is just running around setting timers to set other timers to reset new timers (at least so far)

I am a freemium player, still at the beginning levels.....(level 10 HQ w/a level 22 Commander and just under 200,000 in power) but struggling to see how the game would get more interesting moving forward.

I am in a new state, so we all started basically the same day, and I can see the pay to play members at the millions & trillions in power already !

It's fun cause I can check it on the ipad in between lifes crapola so I may keep at it for a while......although I was hoping for a different gaming experience.

Spoiler alert: It doesn't get any more interesting. It just takes longer and longer to upgrade things so you have to wait more and more time to get that slight endorphin rush when something happens.

Disappointed, but thanks for saving me countless hours

Try a clicker game like Cookie Clicker or something that is like Mobile Strike but at least has more stuff to do, like Clash of Clans. In Mobile Strike, when you attack, nothing actually happens, you just get a report of the results. At least in CoC you fight the battle yourself. But even in the end Clash of Clans comes down to the exact same gameplay style as Mobile Strike: lots of timers, lots of grinding.

I almost gave it up as quickly as I started with it, but kept on for a few days.

This game has actually grown on me, and im starting to enjoy it. Even as a freemium player, when you join an alliance you get tons of free resources gifted to you + earn more resources for accomplishing tasks. You also build up loyalty funds & can gather gold that can be be spent in the store.

I use them mostly to buy "speed up's" which can be used to eliminate the waiting on timers.

Once I got into an alliance, and started going on some battles the game got much more fun.

I am discovering how deep the game can get, and the complexity involved, which is kind of cool.

I especially like the Alliance Chat rooms, where you have to weed out spies and avoid betrayals. I already got duped once. Got invited into an alliance, built up about 20,000 troops, only to have the leader boot me out of alliance and immediately attack me as I was gathering food

As a free player, I can see why I would never be a dominate individual player in the game, but being part of an alliance and helping in battles, and moderately growing in power is good enough for me
