Honest question, not trying to be an ass, but why does anyone...ever...use the Move for anything? Controllers seemed perfectly up to the talk and the few times I've used the Move to try it out, it's seemed to make the game worse, not better.

Ok so considering I played like 5 minutes of this game last year I am basically starting from scratch.
Tips? What game modes are best? What's the deal with downloading updated rosters and stuff? Would really appreciate some quick noob help. Thanks!

It's definitely me. My guy is obv terrible so far statswise, but I was doing it wrong-ish, and now that I've watched the tutorial and understand what I'm supposed to be doing wrt timing, I think I should have the swing of it soon, assuming I don't need Tommy John Surgery.

I would say that you just need to use it more and get used to it. I like it for select games, and this is actually one that I was really excited to use it for. The hardest part is calibrating the PSeye correctly, but once that's done I find it great.

Re: MLB12 The Show
Nutty:
I think it's all pretty good. I think I'm in the minority here, but I got so much use out of franchise mode in the last 3 years of Shows. I'm really interested in the front office stuff, and building the team and whatnot, so you'll def enjoy that.
Road to the Show is fun if you're playing any position other than catcher, imo, and is really the only way I actually play games (simming through seasons in franchise mode usually).
I haven't found anything so far as far as downloading rosters goes just looking through the menus and stuff. I'm assuming there will be something added (if I haven't missed it) via patch or something, but there's usually a forum on the game website that has links to sliders and rosters.

I do mostly franchises as well, though I actually play all the games
I do not like pulse pitching at all thus far, seems impossible to put the ball where you want it

Re: MLB12 The Show
I've never had any interest in Move except for possibly this game, keep us updated on how it works.

Re: MLB12 The Show
I used the Move controls for an hour in the practice modes in an attempt to give an honest review.
Here's the detailed report:
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME THINKING THE MOTION CONTROLS WILL BE FUN
Batting: It sucks. Really really bad.
Pitching: It sucks. Really really bad.
Not going to even bother with the running (lol) or the fielding (double lol).
Yeah, the motion controls are garbage - as expected. Ignore them.
Can't wait to play the real game when I get home from work.

Re: MLB12 The Show
So they have this new collision detection stuff. Well Im rounding 2nd on what should be a close play for the triple, and the ump running to get into position bumps into my baserunner and essentially knocks him to a near stopped speed and my guys out. Wtf ump?!?!
Agh my first freeze comes going to the ending screen of an extra innings win! lame!
