MLB 2k12 Released 3/6/2012 Today!

Reviews seem meh, like every year. Sounds like an improved version of last years game. Could be the last of the 2k series. Anyone buy it yet? Thinking about getting it tonight.

As the only option for PC gamers, I'd consider it. But not at it's current price on Steam.

Got it today for XBox.. Idk, I like it. Def not the best sports game I've played er anything.

I was playing online today vs a kid who literally didn't take a pitch for the first 6 innings. He still managed to get 9 hits and 4 runs off my 3-foot-out-of-the-strikezone pitches.. Rigged imo.

Disappointing like always. I don't know how they get away with re-releasing the same game year in and year out. The only change I really see between the 2k9 version and 2k12 is the better liver roster management.

That being said, anyone want to start a 2p2 league?

I've got it. I skipped 2k10 and 11, so I'm happy with 2k12, definitely an update for me. I'd be interested in some league play.

Just finished up my first Xbox Live game, Redsox V Braves, lost 7-6 at Fenway.

Well played game, kid was varying his pitch locations and pitches, I was happy.

I remember on 2k9 playing unknown numbers of games online where the other player was just throwing one impossible to hit pitch.

Not seeing much of those types of pitches here.

The controls on My Player suck, particularly the base running, but it's whatever. Overall I'm happy so far.

Go 2p2 league IMO

got it last week. I like it alright, but the myplayer mode isn't nearly as deep as in the show.

I had just been playing online/with friends and hadn't gotten into the franchise mode yet, but looked into it yesterday. I started with the Nat's and wanted to see how good they have Harper in the game. I can't even find him. I think the MLB has some thing where the game can't use minor leaguer players' names, but there aren't any outfielders that even 'stand out' on any of their minor league rosters stats-wise.

Didn't get the chance to take a look at any other minor league rosters to see if Matt Moore/Mike Trout/Machado/etc. are on the minor's rosters. Sigh.

You can see it on Spike TV tonight at 11:30pm, they're broadcasting the results of the perfect game challenge or something. And I think Kate Upton will be on it.

This game is almost exactly like the last two years. The online play is greatly improved, and I like the subtle changes to the fielding. Downside is still not knowing who you are controlling until it's sometimes too late. I wouldn't rush out to pick this one up if you already have last year's game, unless you want to play in a league.
