Is there a dedicated 2+2 server? Building neat things isn't that appealing unless there's an audience....

I'm trying to connect a deep tunnel system to my spawn point, and I think I'm under a lava lake or something. In like a 50 block radius, every stone above my head reveals lava. Years of quick-switching in counterstrike have served me well, as I can stand under a block, mine it, and replace it with cobblestone before the lava pours out. It's still irritating.

Someone set up a damn 2+2 server.

maybe its down i dno pm the guy who runs it
whitelist means its invite only yes pm him to add u

i assume its so random people dont join and put tnt or lava in ur buildings

I have another question, and I'm on Peaceful even:

Sometimes when mining I'll hear a very eerie sound that would make you think, "omg, danger is near!" What exactly is that? It's kind of like if you were mining and there was a monster close by on the other side of a wall where you're digging you'd hear it growl, but this is more like music.

i think there's one type of music that will play if there's a monster spawner nearby.

yeah that means theres a dungeon nearby.

dungeons have monsterspawners. basically cages with fire that spawn a kind of monster. take it out with ur pickaxe and loot he chests

I'll have to go looking for it. It is under my eiffel tower. While digging out my foundation I kept hearing it, and eventually ran into a cavern, but it went to a dead end in all directions.

What is the point of these spawners if they are underground and unable to get out? Is it just another part of the game where dungeons are super awesome? I haven't seen one yet so I don't know what they look like.

Basically, it's just a gimmick. Monsters spawn in the dark anyway, with no need for a spawner. That boxy thing just ensures that there are only of one kind and mostly paired up.

The dungeo itself pretty much sucks, as it's just a cube made out of mossy cobblestone.
