Re: Mass Effect 3

I just did the "destroy" re-run. Pretty satisfied with it. Made a lot more sense, and definitely would have been appreciated first time round... oh well! That said, it still probably wouldn't hold up amazingly well when put under a microscope (not that I care that much)!

Shoot the starchild. I dare you. I double dare you.

Extended endings are the way the game should have ended in a first place. Shame that it did not. Would also have enjoyed that me Shepard had retired in to sunny and warm place, drink with Garrus and live his life with love interest, but cannot get everything.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Was just about to play but realised that my galactic readiness was back down to 50% because I haven't been playing multiplayer. Do I have to get it back up to get the best ending on the DLC now?

Re: Mass Effect 3

Probably, but I'm not sure.

But multiplayer is better now. Tactical cloak just got a mild nerf, and you no longer get character cards if you have all the customizations maxed out. Instead, you will get a brand new level IV ammo power.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I read it's better/suggested by Bioware to start right before the final Cerberus mission, because there's actually multiple ending depending on what happened during that mission.

Mine was back to 50% too but it gave all the choices nonetheless + special ending. I did grind myself up to 5k before though.

Does anyone know what actually changes if you play from Cerberus mission? I just loaded from right before citadel.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I did just the final mission too and there wasn't that much extra content but the IGN article said there were several hours of extra cutscenes and also recommended starting from the cerebus mission so I think I'm also going to replay from there as well.

I played from the Cerberus mission. I didn't notice any extra content other than when you start your run at the beam. That said, my original play through was a while ago now, and I have a pretty poor memory! Maybe I had more end content as a result of doing the cerberus mission too? I dunno!

They've knocked the required EMS down so you don't have to play online to get the perfect ending.

I think it's around 3100 now. I got the perfect ending with 3500.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I restarted from the beginning on insanity holy **** is it hard. I think it's mainly that you pretty much get no shields. I'm playing as an Adept and I actually forgot how many powers Shepard has at his disposal. I didn't make more then one save so I figured why not strt from the beginning.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I've beaten 2 and 3 on insanity multiple times and I'm don't think I'm particularly good at games. I'm definately crap at shooters. It's just a question of learning how to manage your team properly. Don't let them use powers on their own.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah I think I went into the battle with the wrong team. I picked ED and Liara for the save the students mission and ED cool down was taking really long and she was using them on her own which was creating a problem, That was also one of the toughest missions for me even when I played on Normal so it may actually get easier.

I remembered this during my playthrough of the new ending so I did it and regretted it immediately, lol. Don't know if it gave me the 'good ending', whatever it is. Certainly seemed really short.

As far as the added scenes, it's been so long since I played SP last that I don't remember what it was like prior. I recognized a new 'romance' scene though.

Also, I remember having no problem before with Marauder Shields but this time around it took me three tries. I blame whoever brought it up earlier ITT.
