Re: Mass Effect 3
Well, with the hunter mode nerf coming out, I have to wonder if the Salarian infiltrator is now better than the geth. Thankfully I just unlocked the former. With the damage bonus from hunter mode cut in half, the increased durability and the ability to set off tech bursts when using disruptor ammo look pretty attractive.
Wish I had a talon, scorpion, or saber to try them out with their new buffs instead of my wraith II, which still isn't all that good.
Also, I guess I'm going to give the human adept a look for the first time ever. Shockwave may finally be a decent power.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Hurricane II, Valiant II. Sick draw. Also got the Phoenix adept. Not the best class, but at least it was novel for me. I already had both vorcha, but I would have preferred the QMI or Phoenix vanguard.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Wow, faith in humanity partially restored. I somehow got matched up with a team of three guys all n7 1600 up to 3300 who had been playing private games but I guess opened it up to the public and I got dropped in with them. Everyone was using their mics, calling out spawns and flanking enemies, and keeping it real. We started with FBWGG, and my krysae-packing salarian infilitrator finished merely 3rd after having never finishing below first in such a situation. And we did it in 19 minutes without a single rocket. Awesome. They then switch it up to u/u. I gear up this time (I usually use minimal gear for farming), and we pull reapers on Giant. They opt to camp around the spawn rather than at the usual perch. It works pretty well. One of the guys drops 150k points with his brand new Harrier I. Guess I gotta get me one of those, although obviously he enjoyed having prox mine spam weakening everything. Next round is geth on glacier. This was pretty tough. They again are unorthodox, camping around the spawn in the basement rather than up top in the control room. This just seemed needlessly difficult, but we pull through. I finish in 4th place with over 99k points. We were all close, but scoring roughly 450k total points between the four of us? I've never scored more than 99k points and finished anywhere other than 1st. I guess we were just blowing the **** out of things on the objective waves, spawning endless hordes. The last game was weird. Cerberus, Dagger. Easy street, right? No. We die on wave 10 after 32 minutes despite properly having 3 people (one of them a rando now, a quarian female infiltrator) up in the perch and me covering the back door. I guess they were using short range classes, a vorcha soldier and a phoenix adept, and I don't think they were using particularly long range guns. The high n7 guys were all changing up classes and armaments every time and using guys under level 20 to try and level up and promote their guys. Guess I should have been up in the perch. I ended up leading scores by a ton, despite just covering the back door. I don't know what they were doing up there. Anyway, it was a blast, and a good way to earn 250k.

Re: Mass Effect 3
The basement of Glacier is the best spot to camp in Gold. ME/MP with good players all using mics is awesome. I hope you friended them. I have a group I play gold matches with and it's very rare that we don't actually finish between 20-30 min. I know you play on X-Box otherwise I would send a friend request.

Really? Most speed runs I see have the team start up top in the control room and then send one or two guys down to the basement to clear that spawn, and then another two towards the evac zone to clear those spawns.

We don't speed run, either just camp in the best locations or just walk the map while sticking together.
I actually slowed down my playing a lot since they started nerfing and buffing everything, plus I started playing other games.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Where did you start from? That last save point prior to Maurauder Shields, or further back than that?
