I dunno. I doubt it will make geth/white farming "bad," but it might add some spice. First, banshee's have a tendency to get trapped behind the same barrier in the small room that the geth do. Second, how many banshees do we honestly expect BW will add to the average non-reaper game? Like, I wouldn't estimate more than about 3-5 per game tops, which can easily be taken care of with rockets. And in all honesty, given how incrementally BW tends to change things, I wouldn't be surprised if fewer than half of the FBWGG games see a single banshee.

I have half a mind that BW deliberately set the banshee-killing goal unattainably high so that they could mix things up like this. Looking at the past goals/results of kill x big bad units combined with how many of said bad units you expect to see in a given game, I didn't think there was any way that 3 million banshees would be killed.

Promoting three characters is a decent challenge, though. I promoted a few a couple weeks ago, and I currently only have one class at 20, so it'll take some effort to get two more up to 20.

New MP DLC announced:

Quote:
NEW CHARACTERS

Vorcha Soldier
Thanks to their unique physiology and their Bloodlust ability, the Vorcha are joining the fight and are perfectly suited for the utilitarian soldier kit.

Vorcha Sentinel
The innate aggressiveness found within the Vorcha make them shockingly durable combatants, and when coupled with their Flamer skill, the Vorcha sentinel is a force to be reckoned with.

Male Quarian Engineer
Quarians have spent centuries at perpetual salvage and ship repair; the survival of their species depends on this technical expertise. When bringing the new Arc Grenade to the fray, the Quarians prove their prowess as effective engineers on the battlefield.

Male Quarian Infiltrator
The Male Quarian Infiltrator must actively rely on stealth while in the heat of battle, and when they make use of their Tactical Scan ability, they quickly prove their mettle while continuously dishing out the pain.

Ex-Cerberus Vanguard
When the Illusive Man turned to indoctrination in order to ensure the loyalty of his troops, many Cerberus operatives defected and joined the Alliance in order to stop the Reapers. Now that we’re on the same team, Ex-Cerberus Vanguards (along with their new Lash attack) are quickly proving their worth.

Ex-Cerberus Adept
A result of the Illusive Man's early experiments in enhanced human physiology, Ex-Cerberus subjects are highly skilled combat and biotics specialists. As a result, Ex-Cerberus Adepts can lay waste to the enemy with their Smash and Singularity powers.

NEW MAPS
Firebase Jade - Surrounded by huge waterfalls, Firebase Jade overlooks an ancient reservoir built by the salarians centuries ago. Set up strategic chokepoints inside the base’s main buildings to get the jump on your enemy, and work with your team to meticulously clear each room to achieve victory.

Firebase Goddess - Nestled in the epicenter of a Thessian metropolis, Firebase Goddess is one of the last strongholds of asari resistance against the Reapers. With its circular layout, Firebase Goddess is a tough location to control. This arena combines heavy cover and elevated firing positions, so stay light on your feet.

Any word on whether or not this will be free like the last one?

I have hope that one day I will be able to play as the Rachni in MP.

Re: Mass Effect 3

already got myself killed dodging a banshee into a phantom and vice versa. wheeeee

yeah though even on gold I only saw a couple banshees spawn the whole time vs phantoms. I figured there'd be 2+ most rounds. pretty tame for now.

Yeah, so I had a team fail due to a banshee, but it was an incompetent team. Other than that, they've just been one rocket blast.

But in other news, I guess I'm now the highest N7 rank of the 2+2 people who've befriended me at 203? Do I just like this game more than the average 2p2er?

Re: Mass Effect 3

I've played multiplayer basically to boost my SP galactic readiness in my two playthroughs. I've never been a steady MP person before but I might continue to play around with it since it was pretty fun! The only thing I don't like about MP really is being locked in for 20 minutes without being able to pause - I've got to make sure the kids are really down for the count since they'll come down and I'll have to shout "I can't pause! I can't pause! I'm playing with real people!"

(It's also why when I play poker I haven't done tournaments since I've had kids!)

203?

The only reason my n7 rating isn't way higher is because I never promote..

Re: Mass Effect 3

Well, make sure you promote your 3 least favorite classes this weekend. Get the commendation pack.

I only had 3 at level 20 and 2 were my favorite class and I wont be playing much this weekend so looks like I'll be grinding them back up ASAP.

never promoting would seem to get boring for me. I like rebuilding my characters and trying new play styles.

I'm around N7500 as of now.

And gold is fun as hell when you have the right team. I found a few good players for gold and we've been ****ing it up with R/R.

I wanna know when Bioware is going to release a campaign DLC?
