Just beat first Gold level, although it was probably due to perfect set of circumstances. Faced off against Geth on the Cerberus Base, I was level 20 Turian Sentinel with two Salarian Engineers level 20 and 18 and then another level 18 Sentinel. These guys had some perfect strategy for the level, going into the computer room w/ 3 doorways (all the way near the far left corner relative to beginning position) one guy kept putting up a decoy in the center of the room and it attracted literally more than half the Geth attention since they kept entering from the 2 doorways closer to the beginning position. For whatever reason they never tried to flank from behind that 3rd doorway and they never spawned near there anyway. As a result I was able to just sit back and keep spamming overload/warp and none of us died more than twice even though we pretty much never left that room
this is pretty much what everyone who runs Gold seems to do.

Firebase White/Geth/go to room. A bigger deal is that in the closest nook everyone camps in, you can Grab everyone who runs up close to you before they can go around and flank you. Primes and badly located hacking objectives are pretty much the only thing that is difficult to deal with.

I've cleared Gold on a few other maps, but this is by far the most successful.

GlacieredVirus8 if anyone wants to play Gold.

Yeah, I've seen/played this strategy too. It's by far the most effective one on that level. Judging by the prevalence of the strategy, I'd say the level is essentially "solved" by the multiplayer community.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah, playing that strategy makes it feel like a bronze level. Of course, you have to have a team that somewhat knows what they're doing. I played it today actually; easiest 100k credits ever.

Has anyone played the new maps? I really like Firebase Condo. I also unlocked the new kishock harpoon gun. Not feeling it at all. Maybe I'm not using it right? Looking forward to unlocking the geth though.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I prefer Dagger for gold. I play as an Engineer against the geth and use decoy as long as you have 1 really good infiltrator or a couple ig pretty easy and a good way too farm credits. get four people that know how to do it you can get it done in 28-30min. i haven't been able to try the new maps yet but i am looking forward to play8 them

Re: Mass Effect 3

lol, last night I was playing some of the single player to get the infiltrator experience and got to the part with the three geth primes. LOL was that part easy when you could just go invisible so they'd go and chase after Tali's combat drone.

I died my first attempt, but I didn't know Wtf I was or who I was fighting. Second time was a breeze. You can hit them hard when in cloak, especially with armor piercing bullets.

Or when picking up the geth supergun. When that gun is ramped up, it just melts them. The problem is you have to get out and get too exposed when they're shooting at you to get it ramped up, except when they have their backs to you when you're invisible.

Re: Mass Effect 3

oh lord my first insanity playthrough as an adept that part was a nightmare, the primes would cut me down before I even had a chance to pick up the Geth gun that was right in front of you

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah, not much fun as a Sentinel, either, although how were you using Tali? I wasn't using her combat drones much in my first go through, but I think the geth go for those things cats for catnip.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I bought a few of the premium spectre packs last night. Got 2 ultra rare pistols, the Talon and the Paladin. While the Talon was pretty fun (heavy pistol shooting shotgun rounds ftw) the Paladin is a beast. It's short on ammo but it's essentially a sniper in pistol form. Using in on the infiltrator I rolled and it's pretty fun.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah, premium spectre packs are a great deal. The last one I bought contained the geth plasma shotgun, hornet, and salarian engineer all in one pack.

I got some assault rifle that shoots grenade rounds also, just a rare though, but I haven't used it. Anyone have experience with it? I think it's the Falcon.
