I put it together online, but I suck with it so far, are you supposed to lose to the Doran decks? I went 1-2 beating jundcascade and losing to 2doran decks in 3games

Yes you lose to that AIDS-infested idiotic deck.

kind of a frustrating deck at times, sometimes it just crushes with tatter/jund openings sometimes it does pretty much nothing

and I'm pretty clueless on sideboarding so far, but did just have a fun everlasting torment trumps forgetender match

and its going to take a lot of packs to get enough for the 5c blood deck

3 Swamp
3 Underground River
4 Secluded Glen
4 Mutavault
4 Sunken Ruins
1 Faerie Conclave

4 Mistbind Clique
4 Scion of Oona
4 Spellstutter Sprite

3 Jace Beleren
4 Bitterblossom

4 Broken Ambitions
4 Cryptic Command
2 Agony Warp
2 Peppersmoke
2 Terror
2 Thoughtseize

Sideboard
1 Agony Warp
3 Deathmark
3 Flashfreeze
2 Peppersmoke
2 Plumeveil
2 Puppeteer Clique
2 Thoughtseize
won an 8-man last night after like 2 playtesting games. made lots of errors. seems pretty powerful.

This is my draft from the last premiere release draft that fired today.

I've been drafting the pants off of RRR but not a whole lot with the full block and I have especially no experience with conflux. Couple things I wasn't sure on:

Pestilent Kathari: good bad ugly? He seemed potentionally pretty good when I drafted him but in reality he was pretty terrible. I got it 6th to last pick and other cards in the pack were:

Nactal Savage, nactal outlander

Other then that does anything look obv terrible here?

I've never had a good experience playing with Hellkite Hatchling. Do you like that guy? I would prefer the Gluttonous Slime but maybe Hatchling is better than I think? Not like you could have changed anything else, Molten Frame is your only other vaguely playable card in those colors.

Pestilent Kathari, Nacatl Outlander and Nacatl Savage are all kinda meh playable cards. Kathari is okay though, wouldn't say terrible - trade it for a random dork early game and given the right circumstances can become good late game.

Ive also found hatchling to be very mediocre, but you have battlemage and bomber to make him a little better.

Why arent you playing gluttonous slime? You have token generators and a flash 2/2 for 3 isnt terrible. I think you could cut one of your 2 drops.

Kathari seems fine in your deck, since you dont have many flyers.

Also Karrthus is ****ing insane.

I ran the hellkite so I could have a flyer if push came to shove but this is my 2nd draft with conflux overall so I don't really know how good it is or isn't. I have a couple way to make tokens sacing a guy shouldn't be impossible.

edit: lost rd 1.

I'm just starting to get into Standard, from Block Constructed.

What is it that makes the Doran deck better than G/W tokens? Doran seems like less of a threat than Spectral Procession, and Treefolk Harbinger seems really terrible against anyone that can remove Doran...

Hey guys, first post in this forum, never knew it existed till now! Pestilant Kathari is a solid card, it's obv way better against the bant/esper decks than anything else but can dominate versus some of these decks. If you are playing an 8-4 then you def want it in your deck as your removal suite is minimal. You should play all of your two drops cos of the devour guys that you drafted but tbh they are all pretty weak. I'd prolly run the slime over the hellkite as it allows you to outplay your opponent way better and then board in the flier in the matchups that you need it in.

I'm up for joining the twoplustwo clan aswell, I draft twice 8-4s once/twice a day when my laptop works. Let me know if there are active players who are thinking of joining the clan and willing to stratagise.

The black splash seems pretty bad when its for 2 2drops and a 4 drop. Especially when sitting out decent cards like soul's fire and colossal might. However, my experience in this sealed format is limited except for the prerelease where i lost to 2 5c decks with a solid RG aggro deck which had everything except a way to kill a spellbound dragon or broodmother (bad beat stories).

I was SB some black stuff in:

Blightning
Blister beetle
& Singemind Ogre

Mostly for the 5cc decks with huge fatties that were a little slower. I caught ppl with 2 cards a lot with blightning. Blister beetle really helped me vs T2 stun snipper 3 games in a row.

Ive got pretty mixed feelings on souls fire. It seems decent but if I have no guys in play its dead and that's been a problem more then once for me.

lost rd 1 in T8. Guy had 2 Resounding Thunder, 1 Banefire, 1 absorb vis. He burned me out from 15 and 10 in our two games.

Here's what I ended up with.

cut the black, those all seem poor spash cards (grimblade, putrid leech, drake).

JESUS CHRIST PLAY SPELLBOUND ****SFOADGLJG DRAGONNNNNNNNN

I had that **** at the prerelease, its a HOUSE. You have a blue borderpost too ffs.

EDIT: talking abt deck 1

Bleh black. Soul's Fire should def be in your deck. I mean, you're going to have to have a guy out to win the game eventually, and you have solid beaters like Woolly that make it very good. It's a removal spell and finisher, obv play it. It's also a good combo w/the might. Slingoooo.

Kyle, his first drop was a turn 4 equip, then turn 5 LOL U DISCARD HAND?

I mean, you can be pretty happy he is ******ed to keep such a slow hand with no board prescence, if you have any 2/3 drop hes going to be in a pretty bad spot.

Shrug.
