ya pauper is a format for old school players that love wonkey combo decks that win on turn four without any sort of player interaction.

I had fun with rats,

it's amusing that since they have to balance for limited all the creatures are 2/2s, 1/1s

ferrengi,

Dispense Justice is solid removal and is definitely better than doubling up on Slasher, the Wellspring, and a second Vulshok Replica. So that's three very cuttable cards. I'd personally play a seventeenth land over the off color myr too. More reliable, though not as metalcrafty.
Normally I would have played it but with some much other good removal I was trying to get other stuff into the deck. After all, even with a lot of removal, you still need some threats to win you the game. I did however bring in justice in specific matchups where I thought it could help me. Like against an opponent that had darksteel sentinel.
I guess the deck would've been fine if I would've cut one of the cards you mentioned for the dispense justice.
BTW, I looked at the list again, I miscounted my burn the impure. I only had 1 and I did have 17 land, not 16. I suppose I could cut an off-color myr for the justice but I really wanted to make sure I had 6 mana and the 3 plains so I could use my 2 bombs.

Thoughts on this draft?

http://www.raredraft.com/watch?d=2r9b1

The deck seemed decent but removal and low drops are definitely lacking. G/R dinos is a fine archetype but I don't think the draft went too well overall.

Also, is anyone going to be playing the MTGO prerelease or release events? What events do you recommend?

ferrengi,

you've improved lately. Not anything serious I'd do differently in that draft. I wouldn't take Plague Myr, but I don't think that had a big impact on the overall strength of your deck. White was shown to be open too late for you to switch, so sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.

Hey everyone, what sites are similar to a "2+2" version of magic, where we can find lots of info to improve our game?

+1

tangle angler >> paldium myr
iron myr > rust tick
hatpick sphinx > lens (fatties + lens is just bad)
tangle anger #2 >>>>> arbalest

I disagree with you a little. I think the angler can be good even in non-infect so maybe that is better than the palladium myr.

Rust tick is going to be much better than Iron myr in just about any deck or matchup. What is your reasoning behind wanting the myr? The rust tick locks down their best artifact and has the ability to lock down 2 different things because the artifact doesn't untap next turn.

Lens might not be what I want. I don't know because I think it only came out in 1 game. But, how exactly will I use the argent sphinx? It is already pack 3 and I have hardly anything in blue and it costs double blue. I'm not willing to splash for this card. Are you taking the sphinx hoping to pick up more blue in pack 3?

Disagree completely regarding the arbalest. That artifact has to be answered otherwise your opponent just loses the endgame.

So, I think you are totally wrong about 2 out of these 4 picks.

Re: Magic: The gathering Online

sphinx is obv a hatepick

i agree that rust tick is good but i think that the myr is a little esp since i dont take the pladium myr.

ur deck is soooo top heavy and arbalest is just another lategame card. id rather take the tangle angler ( much better in general and even moreso in ur deck). its early defense and is just a pita in generel for ur opponent.

The deck is too top heavy but I don't think picking up another tangle angler is the answer. I really needed some 2 or 3 drops even if they were weak.

Re: Magic: The gathering Online

I'd much rather have pistus strike over rusted slasher, and it's close over spin engine in your deck.

And I'd much rather have pistus strike over 4/3 ogre when we already have 2 tangle mantis (double green and double red in the 4 drop slot that aren't bombs? bleh)

And by then we are Base green with red as a splash for double burn going into pack 2.

P2P1 is a bit light and I have no experience playing with tangle angler, but a 1/5 infect is pretty hard to deal with..
