Well it is prob fine. It is always a cantrip that can occasionally do some cool things like dodge discard etc.

Yeah it's not the best. Usable given Snapcaster Mage.

Mana's a little greedy (Grave Titan too good) but this deck is nice:

Hardcast off of Gaea's Cradle, Garruk, and some elves. It's a good card.

Shelldock Isle -> Ulamog-> Obliterate

Sneak Attack decks are fun.

Extra props because I've never seen Obliterate cast in cube before.

I think its a complete joke that Wizards doesn't take control of their own product, and something I've been saying for years.

In these GPs or whatever, as I understand it (and I may be wrong), WotC pays the prizes directly and the entry fees all go to the TO (tournament organizers) to run the tournament. I guess the idea is to throw a bone to the TOs that support Wizards through FNMs and selling product and having space in physical stores to play MTG.

However the whole thing is just being taken too far, more or less a lack of competition and the fact that Wizards is footing the bill leads to this sort of problem where the consumer gets screwed, Wizards gets screwed relatively, and the TOs do very well.

I made the mistake of starting with it in sb but sided it in for Jokulhaups twice against blue decks. The card is surprisingly sweet.

just had a new experience - boros control deck with both Armageddons, Jokulhaups, Tangle Wire, Gideon, Koth and Sorin on the splash. Land Tax also a key player. my opponents did not enjoy their games of magic i would imagine.

If you do drop at 2-3, I suggest just getting into as many side drafts (or better yet, money drafts with other qualified players) as possible. Boot camp that **** so you're ready for the PT in less than two weeks.

I can moneydraft as long as the price is high enough. Otherwise I'd rather do normal events since they have 3x PWP qualifier and I want my team to have atleast 1 bye for Utricht.

So, I just saw something I wish I had recorded because it's so freaking unbelievable. My opponent lost the match to me (and predictably, lost his **** in the chat box) because he misplayed Feral Contestthree times over the course of the match.

Each time I had a key creature untapped and ready to die to a forced chump from the contest, but each time, he chose to target an evasion guy with the +1+1 counter, instead of one my guy could actually block. The first time he made the error it cost him the game (as it left him without a blocker so I could run in with my dude for lethal damage), then he did it again in game 2 (managing to pull out a win anyway), then AGAIN in game 3, allowing my blue fliers to live and kill him.

Pretty sure that's the only time in M:tG I've ever been playing black and thought "thank god he's running guys with swampwalk."

Normally I feel bad if a guy misclicks or misreads a card, but after the third time misplaying the card in a span of 15 minutes, I was wishing MTGO had a mic feature so he could hear me laughing uncontrollably as he ranted in the chat box.

pretty fun deck i'm running right now

won my first game with a turn 4 myr battlesphere with karn in hand

won my second with a turn 3 shackles, turn 4 sower to take control of his BoP and leveling up mana elf, then i turn 5 aeon chronicler for like 5 and start buying back capsize.

not fun for him

I can't get the hang of this cube, I just haven't played it that much.

Smashing ZZW drafts pretty hard though, for some reason no one on mtgo seems to notice whiplash trap is a good card.
