If you want to play pauper, find me on MTGO - Bloemfontein

Don't have any great decks, typical just play one game since I'm too lazy to sideboard right now. I quit when I can't win

I'm fooboo on mtgo, I only use pauper decks, because I'm a nit. I'll be in the PDC and playing casual everything.

PDC is by far the least expensive way to have fun playing competitively, as far as I know, from the few days I've had my account

I have basically zero non-zoo extended cards. so zoo ftw I guess

edit - nothing pre rgd, not much good rgd, tpf is ok. so I might make an ok wizards deck too.

I'm thinking about trying MTGO but never really felt like I was good enough at MTG to do anything on it other than burn money, and I'm not a fan of constructed formats outside of Legacy. However I've been getting fairly competent at Alara limited (at least sealed), so I might give it a trial run and see if I do decently. My nick is CynicalSquirrel (I should really find a new nick theme) on there if anyone wants to play. I could use some fun matches just to get used to the interface again, although I have like no cards atm.

BTW, why are tix selling for less than their value for stars/ftp cash?

Is it cause the magic degens want to get their gambool on?

Family emergency came up and I couldn't play. Had a friend play for me who went 8-0, but lost in the first round of the top 8. Having Ajani and Sarkhan in the same sealed pool is pretty crazy.

Basically because there is no way to get money of the modo system, so you pay a "tax" for converting digital value into real cash.

that and the fact tix are worth less than packs online in ratio to what they cost in the store.

Example you are better off buying a 2 packs for $7.98 and trading them for 9 tix than just buying 8 tix for $8.

I think the latter is a function of the former.

Is there a way to make 'abilities' automatic or select which ones are.

For example, I made a merfolk pauper deck - Judge of Currents, Schoolmaster, etc. I don't mind clicking OK for each step, but the 'Do you want to use this ability' -- Um no I don't want to make a merfolk token/gain life. Being new to magic, is there a situation where you wouldn't make the token?

Similar annoyances with kinship (though I know there are times that you may not want to turn your hand face up for +1/+1)

The first thing that comes to mind is if your token is going to auto die to your opponent's Vithian Stinger/Night of Souls' Betrayal/etc causing something bad to happen like a free token on his Rockslide Elemental/Kresh the Bloodbraided. Granted those ones won't come up in pauper.

You can make things automatic if they're forced to happen like anyone's exalted triggers or your opponent's kinship triggers, but I'm not sure if you can set things to automatic if they may happen such as your own kinship.

I think I'm winning more by my opponent just getting frustrated. When I have 6 or so merfolk out w/ a judge of currents and schoolmaster, it takes forever to play sadly when tapping them out w/ a mothdust changeling. it's entertaining but 'slow'

I haven't played in a while, but there used to be an 'always yield to this ability' option if you right-click the ability while it is on the stack.

went to FNM last night lol, it was sealed I had a decent build esper splashing bant charm, necrogenesis and resounding thunder since I'm a sucker for 5color and had 3panorama and a sphere

no real bombs, but everyone local is god awful so it didn't matter some pools were absurd kresh, nicol bolas and broodmate, battlegrace angel + martial coup type absurdness, necrogenesis is pretty good at countering coup

Hi,

You tell people not to do business with me, you don't know the current value of poker/tix, you insult me and then tell us you have no idea what you are talking about; clearly you don't.

People are BUYING from .82 - .9 and SELLING at .94 Right now on MODO and only 1 of the 5 listings are RTT (Reliable Ticket Traders = Premium price not to get scammed). I have sold nearly 150 tickets to 2p2ers in Marketplace from .85-.9 and all parties have left satisfied.

Thanks,
Roo
