3alchemist is nice, but 2 lookouts is

yeah the lookouts are obv pretty weak but they fit the deck overall w/the alchemists. I lost 1 game the entire draft.

I thought it was postworthy. It was a wrecking ball. Geez post one deck and get blasted

Zendikar sealed deck is dumb (never won a game), but draft is sweet (never lost a game).

Looking at the spoiler, it looks like there isn't much removal, and there are a lot of fat butts, so you probably have a ton of stalls right?

Just from the spoiler, it looks like blue should be really solid (4 2-power common flyers, with decent removal) in draft. Is this how it works out in practice?

most of the good sealed decks I saw were UB, the other colors seem pretty inconsistent, there are quite a few stall cards like M10 which makes some of the early drops in other colors pretty meh

Zendikar is really well balanced. Love it so far.

The Adventurer's Scope or whatever it's called that peeks at the top card of your deck is really good. Like, awesome.

Seems like theres a lot of random filler in the set.

I was unimpressed with my limited experience with the scope.

Scope is really nice if u got landfall guys. There's a lot of bomb guys in this set and it seems like most are b and g but u and seem to be good also, they have most the limited tempo and creature removal. So it seems like the best decks so far have been g/b with u/w.

Got some nice packs in my sealed deck today.

Chandra, New Lackey, Markov, 2 Lummiarch Assencsion, Oblixis (sp?). Can't complain with 4 mythics. Fetches would have nice, but the 2 boxes I'm getting should cover that.

I'm just looking forward to better limited than ala or m10

ACR had pretty much perfect limited.

I went to a prerelease sealed... my pool was pretty terrible both card and money-wise but with 2 of the 1G bear allies green was an easy choice for me. I settled on a GB allie deck with the 7 cast mosquito, two of the 2/2 black allies and the 3/2 player burn ally. The dark banishing that deals two damage is as good as it looks. The scope is pretty bad unless you're landfalling.... I had the mythic 6/6 baloth (which is funny because it was also the prerelease card so like 2 people thought I had tried to sneak it in before they got a closer look).

I crushed my first two games and then got absolutely demolished by a RG deck. The ball lightning is fantastic and his white splash 1/1 that gets 4 +1/+1 counters if you have 5 lands suddenly becomes godly when you also have that 4GG spell that lets you look through your library and cast a creature. I'm a little suspicious of his pool because it was just wayyy too good, and him and his best friend ended up chopping 1st and 2nd place in the 64 man tourney... playing completely different colours, if you catch my drift. Way too loosely regulated and collusion/swapping seemed jokingly easy for people to do. It's kind of cruddy especially when I'm used to online play/strict rules.

I was 4-2 going into my last round and lost a squeeker to some 14 year old mirror matching scrub because I let him slide with a couple terrible mistakes on his part (all the cards that say you "may put on a token" to eventually give your cards +5/+5 are pretty bad when you keep forgetting to put them on until my untap phase the following turn...)

So I end up 4-3 and got no prizes, but it's okay because my buddy and I agreed to split whatever prizes we got at the tourney..... and he got the most expensive door prize. Box of exiled cards including the foil berserk? Yes please!

P.S. this was my first ever mtg event... god damnit learn to wear some antiperspirant and eat a salad you smelly teenagers.

I made the dumbest draft error today in my magic career, I knew going in the players would love green way too much, and still 2nd picked the 4GG 4/4 landfall to 8/8trampler guy

so I end up with a good GR deck instead of an absolutely bonkers UR deck

ended up losing to rampaging baloth who is beyond nuts(obv heh) where the UR deck would have had whiplash trap and the kicker bounce card to deal with him and his gay army of beasts

One thing I have to work on is my live trading. I think I got worked here, thoughts?

3 Time Sieve
4 Jace Beleren
1 Necropotence

for

4 Oath of Druids
1 Null Rod

Keep in mind I never use the Oath's or Null Rods.

I need to get up to date on card values.

seems reasonable, but you are probably on the wrong side by around $5

time sieve lost cryptic pollen lullaby and elsewhere flask which are big losses and didn't get anything that I can think of, so likely isn't good enough right now which means they are back to being .50 cards
