I haven't played Madden in years but I am really enjoying this so far, probably because I'm an Ultimate Team degen.

Is it really easy to arbitrage the market in ultimate team like MLB the Show, or more difficult like in FIFA?

I played with the Cowboys in Madden 15 but without Demarco this year I need to find a new team I can't do anything with Randle.

Just had an awesome comeback in Draft Champions in the final game. I was down 17-3 mid 3rd before tying it up and forced a punt to start the 4th. Ended up having a 14 play drive taking up all but 5 seconds of the 4th quarter before scoring to tie the game. Luckboxed the OT coin toss so I got ball first and ended up with another long drive to score the game winning TD. Felt really awesome.

I'm really liking this Madden game. I haven't played one for longer than a couple hours since maybe 2010, or so. I sort of just stick to franchise personally because i'm an old guy and that's how I grew up playing, or maybe I just don't want to lose to a bunch of teenagers game after game. Either way, really liking the game, love the new catching features, it really feels more realistic.

"Problem" I have with all Maddens and probably football games for that matter, is that on defense I can always stop the rush but QB's go about 80 percent completion rate on me. I wish I could find a better balance, but I guess I'll keep a look out for some sliders.

Prob the best version of madden I've ever played. I'm gonna try to get some 32 player connected franchises together for xb1.

Yeah this is by far the best Madden in 10+ years. They finally made some changes that actually improve the game outside updating the roster.

I like the gameplay but Jesus Christ EA, give it a rest with the constant bull****. It's not enough that they added a SECOND ultimate team mode, they turned franchise mode into it, too! ****ing subquests for each drive, progression being governed by the XP you earn from that, coaches with skilltrees and ****...

That is not remotely like the actual NFL. Is there a "simulation" switch for franchise mode somewhere to turn all that **** off?

Oh, and somewhat related, the menus are so busy and laggy compared to NCAA's(RIP). When you're playing team buildy/franchise type modes, you spend more time in the menus than in the game, but you don't really care about how good they look. The actual roster management is a submenu that requires a laborious journey, I don't give a **** about the ****ing cutesy color-coded depth chart with pictures of my starters, I want to trade for a linebacker without having to consult Google Maps.

The actual football is great, though, like I said. I'll probably just play quick games online.

Changing the way that XP is handed out and players progress is a far cry from asking you to buy packs for real $$ to play the game.

It's more like an attempt to bring RTTS-style development to football. Granted, a lot of the goals seem kinda arbitrary (especially the individual play ones) but I don't mind them trying to change up what has been a very stale franchise for years.

Loving the franchise mode so far. Being able to aggressive catch, yac catch and possession catch makes such a Big difference. It's great when you have single coverage with the db pressed on the line and you touch and aggressive catch with boldin ftw. Having a lot of fun so far.

Really don't resonate or agree with flys rant in the slightest bit. Seems odds to passionately complain about the stuff he did. I'm giving this game a 9.876/10 so far.

I keep on getting a network timeout and online games will kick me out and give me a loss even though I barely started playing. Has happened to me 5 times in a row now and it's super annoying. My wireless internet is totally fine and works for everything else. Does anyone know how to stop/fix this issue? On Xbox One btw

Eh I havent played this years yet, but his rant was spot on for me. I just want to play football games, and the slow ass menus drive me insane

Add in cut scenes during the game that youre just jamming buttons to get passed and take up 60+% of gameplay time and its a rather poor combo for people who are just football fans

I've played about 10 games online, no real lag issues, and if I've had them then asked for a friendly quit and got it accepted at a 100 percent clip. Also had to play against the same team as me twice, which was weird because it was the bills and redskins, also both friendly quits. I'm garbage unless I play with like a top 20 percent team, which makes sense because most games have been against top teams.

I've already played this madden more than the last five installments combined. Perfect amount of fun and frustration, ha.

Would anybody in here be interested in doing a CFM for money (xbox1)? We used to do it back on P5s years ago but hadn't in a long time. Figured I could try and grab some ppl on here and on there and then hopefully fill in the extra spots via Twitter/friends etc.

Hadn't really settled on a buyin or rules yet. All debatable.

And we have to wait for the first big fix patch anyways to fix CFM. But might as well see who is interested now.

Is there an option to do just playcalling, and not the actual executing of the play itself? I am the WOAT video game player, which is why I like sims like OOTP baseball, football manager, etc.

There is an option that if the controls are left alone after the play snap the AI will take over but the AI makes TERRIBBLE decisions.
