If you played the first one quite a bit it's probably worth it. There's not much "new" about it... I mean, you get new levels/weapons/towers, but as far as gameplay goes it's pretty much identical to the original.

It does have a new "endless" mode that is really difficult to get five skulls on.

If the guy always did what I wanted him to do I'd probably love the game, but there were just so many buttons to push I couldn't really master it. If it goes on sale cheap I'll probably buy it (I originally played it on a free weekend), get a USB game controller, and give it another go.

Sleeping Dogs is 50% off this weekend. It is a fantastic game and a GOTY contender. An open world game set in Hong Kong, similair to a GTA game but with a greater focus on melee combat rather than guns.

XCOM:EU on GMG is on sale, sort of. $5 cash back and $10 credit for the GMG site, and it gives you a steam key.

Sounds like there will be a lot of crappy players playing Verses this weekend. I don't know if that's a good thing or a super frustrating thing.

Hotline Miami is one of the best games this year and something everyone should play.

It has one of the best soundtracks I ever heard in a game and I know that's a huge statement.

This week i bought Assassin's Creed II wich was on sale.

Now about a little more than a year ago i bought the first AC. I found it boring as ****. Then during the summersale this year i bought AC brotherhood, since i heard the series got more varied with each next iteration. After playing it for two hours i got bored, and haven't looked back.

Now i bought AC II, just because it looked nice in my steam list to have three successive games in the same franchise.

fu steam...but *** me too

This. I've been craving a good RPG for awhile now. I'm worried what I'm hoping for might not exist.

I'm looking for something where you choose a character (or better yet, a party) and then they level up in the more or less traditional way, but I'm also looking for something that either gets me into the "meat" of the game fairly quickly or has an actually unique storyline and characters.

Lately all I seem to be able to find is single player action RPGs ala Torchlight II or Skyrim (nothing wrong with either of those, but when I'm itching for that experience, I just play more Skyrim) or a more "traditional" RPG experience, but with super generic/dull storylines, so you end up slogging through hours of boring stuff when you already know in the first five minutes nothing interesting is going to happen.

Anything out there that doesn't put you to sleep but also offers something that Skyrim/Witcher/etc. doesn't?

Did you play Dragon Age Origins? It was the last good team-based RPG I played.

Sure did. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Now that I think about it it's probably the last RPG I did multiple playthroughs/discovered everything. Haven't tried Dragon Age 2 as I have yet to hear a good review of it, but now I'm tempted to try it anyway.
