Nothing official yet but it does seem that some kind of news is coming. They'll probably surprise us all and announce L4D 3 and 4 though :P

So the "big surprise" is not Episode Three, from Gabe's mouth. What the hell does this mean. Half Life 3? Please?

Who wants to play some Counter Strike: Source?

1.3 over here, I tried searching for a CS thread but could not find anything after the first couple pages

I just noticed fatal1ty was sponsored by full tilt and I checked and he was the same guy from CPL, i forget which well known clan he used to play for.

Is there any other well known cs pros that play online poker? This is the first time I've talked about CS on here, it used to be a big part of my life aka putting in 8-10 hours a day for a couple years.

fatal1ty has competed in CS but it's not what he's really known for. He's more of a 1v1 gamer.

I'm late to mention this but if you don't already have Crysis go get it half price quick, amazing game. This appears to be the deals in line for the EA sale for the week, plenty to spend cash on!

This maybe a noob question but just out of curiosity: how did you find the banners from the promotions yet to come ?

The banner on their webpage was like this:
http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/cl...ge_english.jpg
Just change monday to tuesday/wednesday etc and there you go, you get all the banners. Someone stitched them together on the Steam forums so I just posted that.

Should I buy Dead Space on Steam or buy it for the 360?

Or is this entirely just my preference?

I don't have it myself but I've read that the PC controls can be a bit annoying and it is pretty much a console port BUT if you PC is decent you will be able to make it look way better than the console version. It's your call really but personally I'd buy the PC version every time. If you have a 360 controller you can use on the PC version then that makes the decision even easier.

Next question: Is Red Alert 3 worth $15?

I liked single player on RA2, so maybe this is worth it. I haven't played RA2 in forever though. Never played RA3.

Probably go with PC Dead Space

fwiw i played through it on PC and didn't have any problems with the controls, it was a very good port imo

just saw those Red Alert deals and decided to buy RA3...i used to play Command and Conquer back in the day, haven't played a RTS in a long time but for $15 figured it was worth it

Re: Let's talk about Steam and buy mountains of games

Meh, I missed monday, the one day I really wanted to get the game for. Battlefield 2 is good fun anyways. No command and conquer deals for me, I always get bored/frustrated after a few levels.

I'm interested to see how cheap spore will be on Friday. Considering buying it despite the crappy stuff it does to your computer. Never heard of dead space but it looks alright, might get that also and mass effect.

That's a shame you missed the Crysis deal, that is such an amazing game, i hesitate even to call it underrated since most people think of it as purely a tech showcase. I can't wait for the sequel.

Anyway Burnout Paradise at -75% good lord I may have to pick it up, yet more games. The problem with these deals is we all end up with way more games than we can possibly ever play.

Re: Let's talk about Steam and buy mountains of games

Ugh, wasn't planning on getting any racing games today, but for £5 I had to get Burnout Paradise. Aaaand then I saw I could get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was only £7 so I got that too....

Good job I got all summer to wade through all these games.
