So, what do you guys think about the Kinect? Who owns it and likes/dislikes it? Is it worth going and buying a 360 to play it? Thanks for input.
There wasn't a Kinect thread last time I checked but yeah this isn't the best place to ask. If there still isn't one, start one. Fwiw I have it and think it's great (so far, I really only tested it before it went away for xmas), but I'm not sure about the long term possibilities for it yet. And I don't think I'd get a 360 just for Kinect tbh.

Lol, no one wants to see a -75% discount on a game they paid full price.

first time i pre-ordered a game in my life: Test Drive Unlimited 2

it saves 20% with the pre-order, i hope i won't be dissapointed

also, i bought rush 2 days ago ($5), wich is a definite tip to anyone who loves puzzle-games. crazy addicting, and at some point...very hard. I never understood my affection with games that make me want to kill myself

Is there actually a cool and cheap racing game on Steam (apart from Trackmania, all the custom maps in there annoy me)? I feel like playing one for a while.

Good question. I don't know. Arcade probably. Just something for "in between".

Maybe look at flatout 2 ( or the first one ). It's 10€ and the first one was really awesome.

Yeah I played the demo of Rush and it seems like a great puzzle game, 10% off only though, **** that. I'll take my chances with the christmas sale spectacular.

Amnesia is only $10 this weekend. I think everyone should own this game.

Suggestions for decent multiplayer games? I've been playing some older games with my roommate (Titan's quest, Sins of a solar empire), and am looking for some more decent multiplayer games, hopefully a couple years old cause I've played most recent games.

It's not Steam related, but what about Quake as browsergame? Works excellent and is for free: www.quakelive.com

i broke down and paid $20 for torchlight...so far it's decent but seems a bit like a kid's version of d2

I got bored of it pretty fast, much preferred Titan Quest.

i got torchlight for $5 on sale i think and I got bored of it within an hour. didn't read about it too much and was hugely disappointed it didn't even have basic multiplayer. to me it really made me realize that the Diablo type games aren't all that deep and when you replace the overall presentation and polish that you get from a game like D2 with cookie cutter writing and fantasy settings to be sold on a budget the product really suffers.

some of my friends liked it though, so who knows.

I thought there would be a lot more to Torchlight than there was. It was the first game of that genre I've ever completed so it can't have been too awful. For $5 you might as well pick it up, otherwise leave it alone imo.

Can anyone purchase me Counter-Strike: Condition Zero $9.99 USD on Steam and send it to me as a gift? Steam is not accepting my Credit card for some reason. I can transfer on Stars or FTP

PM me if doable

Thanks

I am still working through Dead Space on steam (almost done). Then I have games like The Witcher, GTAIV, Mirror's Edge, Jericho, and some other crappy games.

And yet, I know I'm going to buy more games if there's another Christmas sale. Steam is evil. Yet delicious.
