There's a secret armor shop in Gerudo town that sells luminous armor. I couldn't really think of a use for it off the top of my head but bought it anyway because hey, collecting things. Then I was wandering around and decided to check out the small forest north of the Lost Woods, assuming there was probably a shrine in there. Lo and behold, it's a pitch black maze. That armor was suddenly more useful, particularly when I had to either fight or sneak up on a Hinox to get the orb to unlock the shrine. I don't know why but I found it funny as hell I found both these things on the same play session.
I was a little disappointed you can only do 2 extra wheels of stamina. With hearty meals, I don't really need many hearts.

Spoiler:
If you upgrade the luminous armour then the skeleton enemies will think you're one of them and not attack you.

Spoiler:
When you beat ganon it puts a star next to your save file and loads you up from just before you beat him. You can still play but ganon won't be dead, you can kill him again. It kind of makes sense that you can't keep playing after he's dead given the story but it still would have been nice.

If you start a new file it will erase your old file so if you want to start again and keep your old save you will have to make a new profile on the switch/wii u and play on that.

You can never have too much stamina imo. You gain a lot of time if you can jump-climb everything. On the other hand, you definitely can have too many hearts.

Hearts matter before you find fairies or finish the Zora dungeon

This playthrough I'm going a more stamina route to test this. I'll be on the lookout for more items to cook this way. I've already done a few things I missed in the first play through which is nice.

**** i shouldn't have clicked that spoiler.

yea 2 stam wheels has been fine for me. I climbed to the top of some ridiculous mountains already. I think I may shift to hearts now.

early on though I think you should put a ton into stam, just seems like the smartest investment.

I kind of lost steam with this game. Got to zora domain and went meh. Smash bros has been sucking up all my gaming time.

Sorry man that's why I put it in spoiler

I did like 3 hearts to every 1 stamina upgrade early, but I'm pretty bad at combat and needed the health increase. Once I was never really dying anymore, I maxed out stamina.

But why do the prayer statues still have a stamina wheel upgrade as an option? I got another four orbs today and went to trade in expecting it to just list heart container, but stamina wheel is still listed as an option even though it's not. Game is teasing me or something.

To be honest, though, I don't think I need any more stamina at this point.

Spoiler:
Particularly once you have Rivali's gale and the full climbing set. I am never at the end of my stamina when I get to the top of anything unless I threw some jumps in there. Although there are a couple side quests that come very close to taking all your stamina because of animal riding.

Also, think the generally recommended order for the beasts is Zora/Goron/Rito/Gerudo but unless the reward for the Goron is super useful - I still haven't done that one yet, I'm going to try to do as many shrines and side quests as possible before finishing the beasts and the main quest - I think Rivali's Gale is so critical I'd do that second again in a heart beat.

I beat my first Lynel and it was ****ing ugly, but I didn't die. Hinox I have zero problems with anymore.

I killed a hinox by just continually lighting the ground in front of him on fire and slapping him with my sword a few times every time he tried to put it out

I still really enjoyed my Hinox kill where I just rained down bombs from above. Takes longer but it's obviously extremely safe and I just find it funny to kill an enemy who can't figure out where the death is coming from.

Ranking of great beast rewards

Spoiler:
Rito=Zora>Goron>Gerudo

I find
Spoiler:
quick dodging
(not really a spoiler, but don't want people to not try other methods) the Lynels is my best way to fight them. I can never time it right against the ones with crushers though.

RJ will love the goron reward. It's what made beating the last boss possible for me when all my shields broke

Yep being able to use it 3 times before recharging is pretty solid at the end.

I believe its on the item menu screen at the far right you can "disable" it.

You know you have a lot of time on your hand when you are coming up with new ways to kill enemies lol. Killing a Lynel naked with 3 hearts only and a rock.
