in the golf puzzle i'm referencing, you have to destroy your weapons to have attempts at the puzzle. They give you some sledgehammers in chests, but since you can't save your progress on the puzzles, saving just robs you of tools to solve the puzzle.
In other news, I think I wandered around a snowy mountain for 15 minutes without running into anything last night. Game is a heck of a walking simulator, but even more barren and empty than I originally thought.
Maybe I just have bad luck, but over two or three days of playing, excluding the starter 4 shrines, I've seen 8 shrines total, 2 of which I assume were shrines that I didn't know how to enter. Gets kinda boring trying to find stuff to do.
