This would drive me bonkers, I'd look them up for sure. Especially since they won't even beep if they are a random NPC quest.

To each their own.

Ordered this on the Wii U from the store.

Apparently dont have space on the machine for it.
So ordered an external HDD to put it on.

I suck at life.

I have an idea of one that could be one of the last you can't find, eco, just because I know there was no shot in hell I ever would have found it without a guide. Most of them you can stumble on the right spot or NPC, but while I know there are people who found every one without help, no shot I'd have ever found the one I'm thinking of without knowing it was there. I'm just not that good at games lol.

Anyway good luck in your search.

Of the last ten or so that I cheated for, I'd say half of them were in the "no way I would find this without help" category

Seems counter intuitive to me
theyve had a very similar mode in past games

what's a little frustrating is there are some that aren't trackable with the sensor and that also don't have a shrine quest.

one of the more recent ones i found was
Spoiler:
near the dock at hyrule castle
but there was only a vague mention from an NPC of a shrine being somewhere around there. i had been through that area before and didn't notice what you needed to do to make the shrine appear.

btw, i'm at 73 or 74 of the 76 side quests. i imagine the missing ones are some NPCs that i have to talk to at a certain time of day somewhere or maybe are just located in random places away from villages and stables.

Yeah I sort of feel like all of the "shrines that will beep when you're near" are solvable (though I admittedly missed a few)

The shrines that require you to find the right npc are just too annoying, especially when the npc isn't in the immediate vicinity.

I get that but those past games are also much more linear. It just seems a weird thing to add to a game 100% about exploration. It might be great, who knows, Just seems out of place to me

Eco, that's the one I was thinking of, no way I find that one without help.

Daisy can't play this game for ****.

She'll explore and find stuff. Then when a monster or boss or tougher shrine pops up, she gives me the controller.

We probably have like 20 hours into this game, but are not very far, just go to Zora's Domain. Only have like 20-30 shrines and way less korok seeds. She slows the pace down a ton. It's fun though, because she really enjoys it.

Giz finally got the master sword and is ready to take on divine beasts. Very excite.

Finally got around to getting a 2-upgrade bonus (second playthrough). It's on the climbing set, and boy did I barely notice it! Had to swap clothes to make sure it was doing anything. Underwhelming to say the least, but pretty much what I expected despite what the wording could have been describing.

Definitely running into fewer extremely empty stretches of nothingness this time around. Dunno if they patched something, if I just know the areas better, or if I have a keener eye for koroks and shrines now.

Finally got around to doing eventide island as well. Breezed through it in a few minutes without using the raft/equipment trick. Not sure why I didn't get through it on my first playthrough.

i eventually caved and looked up the last two shrines.

they weren't even hidden. just untrackable and in places i had been near but not near enough to see.

Still doing my second play through, going to take a while if I'm going to do every armor set upgrade.

Definitely have found things this time I missed my first play through. And not just those goddamn Korok seeds. Doing all the slot upgrades is going to kill me. I started using a map for them because seriously, **** finding over 400 (or heaven forbid over 900 if you're a completionist) of these things. I'm in the 220s now, mostly when I decide that I'm going to do whatever quest or shrine I look to see what seeds are in the area. I kind of hate the clock races, like the stone/block puzzles, am always happy when all I have to do is dump some fruit in a bowl.

I'm over 80 shrines in but mostly am just taking care of those when I'm in the area for other reasons. I've got every armor set (except amiibo drops - although I do have a pretty good collection of LoZ amiibo, I'm not counting those sets) except Barbarian, Dark Link (still have one beast left) and the one you get for all 120 shrines.

I'm pretty much fine with most enemy types now except Lynels, which still give me fits. But since you can carry plenty of food to replenish full health it's not really a big deal that I suck.

DLC is out today if anyone didn't know. Not played any of it yet but I did briefly check out hero's path mode which shows everywhere you've been on the map. I've played well over 100 hours and there are a few small areas I haven't been to at all yet, should help me find the shrines and anything else I'm missing. You can also watch it draw out your entire route through the game including deaths; I had forgotten how much I died early on in this game, lol.

Ugh at this Trials mode, it really exposes you without your normal supplies. I've gotten up to the Hinox 3x but the lack of healing supplies is killing me.

Yeah I think I might wait to get a few more hearts before tackling the sword trial seriously. I dread the thought that the final boss is a Lynel. To be clear I don't know what it is, but if it's a Lynel I feel slightly doomed lol.

I have picked up a bunch of the new masks. I can see the korok one being immensely useful, albeit sort of dorky looking to wander around with a leaf on your face.
