thunderblight was the only one I enjoyed because you kind of have to land a counter or 2, unlike the others you can just kill with a bow

They actually get pretty easy once you acquire strong weapons and upgraded gear, you can take down even the major ones without losing a single heart once you get the timing down for each of their attacks.

Agreed, Thunderblight was the only Ganon (including the end boss) that I couldn't beat without dying. One of my favorite fights of any Zelda game, think it actually took me like ~10 tries to beat (Naboris was the second Divine Beast that I did).

I broke every weapon I had and was down to bombs for the last 500 health on my first major test of strength, but it was way worth it because I got three bad ass weapons out of it

Just beat it finally after about 20 hours. I can definitely see how you could crank out 100+ hours on it with getting things done and item collecting. It was definitely a great game I'll play again but not the best imo.

Can't figure out a good way to get consistent snow bowling throws. I try to line up with the grass behind the guy, but as the light changes it gets harder to find my footing. Can get three strikes in a row and then a six. Anyone using anything specific to line up shots?

Edit

Found the moose eye strategy, four strikes in a row so far. Declaring that one a success.

Guess I should've gotten hearts instead of stamina after all, can't pull the damn master sword!

Gotta balance those heart and stamina increases.

Spoiler:
You can switch your stamina over to hearts to get the 13 you need to pull it at the statue by the lab village. I'm guessing there are several of those statues that do that but that was the one I found. It does cost money as a heads up.

Is anyone rolling with more than 2 stamina wheels? Finding I don't really need more than two very often, especially now that I've got all towers unlocked.

I need to practice taking out Guardians so I can do the major test shrines. I found one with zero pillars, so getting that bastard down to when he's even laser firing will be a *****. I've got three of these shrines marked for future completion, but honestly I should be able to tackle them now if I stop sucking.

I breeze through all the other combat shrines but the major ones are a PITA. I've read it's some good gear (plus the obvious shrine completion) so I really just need to start improving my combat skills so taking on bigger creatures isn't such a hassle.

Also (early reward):

Spoiler:
It's to my understanding that the reward for completing all 120 shrines is the standard green tunic from every other Zelda game. Now, I wanted to do all 120 shrines because I think it'll be fun, not so much for the reward. But I already collected the green tunic. It's one of the possible items you can get from the adult Link OoT amiibo. I started collecting Zelda amiibos because I'm a huge Zelda fan and did not know this was a reward, but if you have that particular amiibo, know you can get this early.

How is your parry and Dodge game?

Hahahahahaha....my what now?

Dude, I just wade in and swing my weapon around. I told you, I suck. I know I need to practice those specific skills to get better.

Find guardian, save game, hold up shield, try to parry eye blast, reload as necessary

You don't need to parry shrine guardians at all. Ice and shock arrows will stop them, run up and then hold attack on a 2 handed weapon. Also get comfortable with dodging their attacks. If you can beat a Lynel then you can beat those.

That's got the Tunic of Time, it's different to the one you get for beating the shrines which is called the Tunic of the Wild. The only way to get the Time, Wind and Twilight(which all look slightly different) armour is through amiibo, no way to get them in game.

Okay I did a shrine today with two of the small robots, and I tried to parry back their laser, move to practice since those aren't hard to beat regardless, but I clearly don't have the timing down as I was always either too early and took the hit, or too late and my shield did. Is there a solid cue, like when the laser flashes or a noise it makes, to get the timing down?

Also thanks for the info in spoilers, I didn't know that.

They are referring to the big guardians in the overworld when suggesting to parry. Not even sure if you can parry the beams of the ones in shrines. You can dodge their weapons though, that's what I do on the strength ones. You never need to parry them.
