I woulda told you sooner but I just found that out last night when I was internet window-shopping. So anyone who hasn't bought it yet and wants to, and has Amazon Prime, do that! It's 12 bucks off.

What is Nintendos history with content patches? Do they ever do them? Is there some chance they could hotfix weapon durability to be better later on?

Spent today just running around finding random ****. Opened 3 more towers and something like 6 more shrines, maybe 7.

I'm not much of an adventurer in real life but I'm having just so much fun just seeing what's over the next hill. The game really promotes and rewards that, not just in finding the shrines and the next part of the main story, but just picking up random new insects or flowers or mushrooms.

For some reason I love the cooking animation, no idea why. I'll just sit there for fifteen minutes and throw random ingredients together for the hell of it. This amuses the hell out of me but I don't really know why.

That stuff is just Internet culture at the mo.
Dude you're either trolling or don't know who Jim Sterling is with that comment because I don't think I could have made it clearer that it had nothing to do with reviews. His reviews are fine, I have no problems with them and they have nothing to do with what I'm talking about. It's kind of frustrating you bring this back to reviews after my last post, watch his stuff, he isn't just a reviewer.

What he does has definitely not been a hot thing for years and if you're cool with bullying and creating controversy because "that's just Internet culture" then I don't know what to say. There are plenty of other people that can spread a similar message in a much more constructive way. If you followed Jim you would know where my "surrounded by negativity" statement came from but you're coming off like this review was your first exposure to him.

They patch stuff often, Mario Kart 8 and Smash got a lot of patches that included gameplay tweaks. I doubt they will tweak weapon durability though since it's not really a problem. Once you get OP and have enough inventory space you're never short of weapons.

Yeah cooking is surprisingly addictive. Was at my friends house last night and she started humming the cooking theme while pouring some tea, thought it was hilarious.

Cooking is weird. There are recipes that require lots of stuff and give a specific results but the ones I tried were just basic healing. The simplest cooking seems way more useful and efficient.

Exploration really is the best part of the game. I wonder if 100% completion is achievable without googling the location of stuff. Hopefully there's a mechanic that tells you where to go when you found almost everything, I love the game but I'm not going to try finding one last dude who could be anywhere on the gigantic map.

yeah, most recipes are basically useless because they only give hearts and are therefore obsolete to hearty foods which overfill hearts

the most useful recipes are very simple

Yeah most don't do anything except hearts and can be annoying when you waste a good ingredient. I use the attack ones a fair bit in battles though so I just stock up on those. Hardly ever make elixirs.

Full heal + extra max hearts by far the most useful. The only elixir I regularly make is to increase stamina when climbing tall stuff. Hunting makes meat so available you might as well have any buff an elixir can give but instead as food.

I don't need extra hearts any more since I have 15 and extra strong armour plus fairies and [spoiler] for beating [spoiler] but I've got some hearty ones as backup.

There's 900 korok seeds in the game, getting them all gets you a special "reward".

Spoiler:
A golden piece of poo that does nothing.

Is it the Great Plateau only takes up 1% of the entire map? If so that is awesome. So far 3 sessions on my 2nd switch with no dead pixels (crossing fingers). I'm just past where I was at before and time to leave the Great Plateau unless I want to try to get the materials for the Warm Doublet to which I'm guessing I'll need later on. I'll probably come back for that later on.

Doublet def worth getting. I got it by accident not even knowing I had to do something to get it.

One of the opening parts is super needlessly confusing. When you are at the top of the first tower and old man tells you to use your scope and pin the shrines you haven't visited, he doesn't then say that you should visit them as well. So you pin the shrines, and go and talk to him and he's like "What stupid, can't you figure out how to use your scope." and you go "Ok, I must have misplaced the pin or something, let me try again" and its this weird conversation loop where you can't tell if you pinned correctly because he doesnt say "Awesome, now go get me those treasures!"

Like, you really only need to put one line of dialogue either before or after you do the scope thing to make it not confusing as hell.

I wish this has guilds, stealing, increased personal stats for things like climbing, running, etc (like Morrowind), and different classes. But i fully understand why it doesn't, and still rate the game 10/10.

Yeah I am having 2nd thoughts now and maybe should focus on that before leaving the Plateau. Now that I have a better bow it should hopefully help with a one shot kill for part of that quest.

Get the doublet now imo. I'm not sure that the quest can still be done after you finished the plateau. There's another way to get the doublet and I suspect it's intended for collectors who missed it on the plateau.

I got it in a chest without having to mix the ingredients. I'm guessing I still had to gather the ingredients for the chest to appear considering where I found it. Finally got to the next area to the east which was a pretty long travel and activated that tower to get the map to appear. There is a ton of land in this game...so much to explore if you want to.

Had to call Nintendo to officially remove my Nintendo ID from our old Wii U that we sold a few months back. It was a wind waker HD version. The good news was that after I either remembered every digital purchase we ever made or the last 4 of the long-expired credit card, I would be able to download all the games we had purchased on that account. Yay!

The bad news is that I literally cannot access the Wii U eShop unless I have a Wiimote, which I do not.

I am not entirely sure how this company is still in business.

Is there a way to access recipes for stuff you've already made so you don't have to remember the combo?
