Most likely this means your email got caught by a spam filter as they do email each account (check your promotions tab if you use gmail).

I first noticed being in the alpha by having the option to launch Heroes of the Storm in the battle.net launcher which I of course immediately tried. The e-mail arrived much later.

They maybe even activated me when I talked to phone support for acct unlock.

Have a lot of thoughts about this game which are generally positive. Want to save my review as I think it will be perceived negatively, and don't really feel qualified to speak quite yet.

I'm running with Sgt as my main and Stitches and LiLi as my backups. Having really a ton of fun with them. Here and there I also throw a random into QM.

After the patch I now have 17k to spend (due to the various lvl40 bonuses etc), but I'm not really sure I want anything else. Roster is currently: Sgt, LiLi, Malf, Tychus, Etc, Muradin, Stitches, Nova, Raynor, Azmodan, Valla and Tassadar.

Maybe I'll buy Aba for ****s and giggles (and a mate just bought Murky, so that's double the lol), but I just can't get myself to click the button. All the other heroes are so "standard".

For those of you that aren't playing regularly but are above level 10. You received a stimpack with the latest patch which increases xp by 100% and gold by 150%. As far as I can tell it became active immediately so start playing if you want to take advantage of it.

I just had my first game with a freshly bought abathur. I was pinged and insulted because I was hiding behind a keep and not at the front with the others

Only took 1 game to get the stereotypical morons.

Really? I feel like I've been seeing abathurs almost every game since the patch. The 10% nerf to structure HP and infinite duration on monstrosity were huge buffs to the backdooring build. I don't think it's that hard to counter, but it wrecks in pub games since nobody wants to be on abathur duty and nobody wants to take mule instead of their normal lvl 7 talent, so instead they just end up losing their core to him.

I still rarely see him which is part of the reason he is so strong in pub games. But it is more that he was even rarer in the period before the latest patch and that is when a lot of new players were added.

Today I had a match with 3 people that clearly had queued together and they all started to bitch about that big rocket going across the map and how overpowered it was without even knowing it came from Hammer. I am sure those people also never saw Abathur or know how he works.

Any Hammer that picks the Rocket is a bad player imho, unless there is some special circumstance

Yesterday I saw someone telling everyone that he always picks the rocket, the obvious and superior choice, and he never goes into siege mode, as it is a waste of time.

Fun times were had. I just hate leveling in QM.

He still is and he probably is a very low tier pick too, but no point in buying all the same heroes. I got something different now. I have enough other heroes for hero league anyway.

Hammer's rocket is good on the maps that take a long time and where teamfights regularly happen in the same spot. I always pick the rocket on Blackheart's bay and Dragonshire. Have it traverse through the center where it interferes with handing in coins and dragon caps while also hitting the inner keeps has won many games for me. It is rubbish on the other maps.
