The beta for this game comes out in the near future. I hope 343 can get this game right from the start unlike Halo 4 or MCC.

been playing beta past couple days. man its so fun. way way better than reach and h4. The balance of everything is great. sprint/thrusting is decent. your shield doesnt regen when sprinting so you dont always run away in battles and survive. the guns all have a chance of killing people (coming from playing h1\h2 i hated this but it does make sense for the AR to actually be able to kill people on the game close range)

AR and SMG are sliightly over powered though. when scoping with it you can kill people mid range which gets a bit silly. its pretty fast gameplay.

ground pound sounded **** at the start but is pretty decent, dont think ive got 1 kill with it yet so its pretty costly move to try perform. you die if you miss pretty much.

cant ghandi hop anymore tho which makes me sad

Can't believe there aren't more posts ITT. I haven't played too much because I have the Flu, but man, this might just be the best console shooter I've ever played. Actually, 100% it is. The ONLY other multiplayer shooter I had this much fun with was Team Fortress 2 for PC.

Not to mention that 343i is doing a pretty damned spectacular job with the story, honestly Halo 5 could just be GOTY for 2015.

(And FWIW, I only really loved Halo 1 and 2's multiplayer. It just declined after that, IMO, even though the story telling got better. I love me some Halo but I'm only really a giant fan of the story in the most recent years.)

Yeah, wouldn't rate this at H1 or 2 levels but it's a lot of fun.

Played a bit and meh, didn't really feel like Halo. Then again I haven't really cared for the series since 343 took over, so...

First Halo game I won't be able to play since the first one came out (I got an Xbox when KOTOR came out), I feel kind of weird but Destiny is more up my alley at this point anyways.

20 more minutes and I can play!

so ive played this for a bit and imo, this is one of the best games ive ever played. redic fast paced and all weapons are incredibly balanced. Good symmetry on a lot of maps so no unfair advantage. i hated reach and halo4 but this is on halo2 level.

I suck. The games awesome tho.

The learning curve is pretty steep. Playing with experienced players is not fun.

I suck less than I thought.

The only thing I've found to complain about so far is the spawns in Swat can be pretty terrible sometimes.

Already feel like they need more maps though. The weightings on map selection is really broken imo. Just constant ****map the rig. I was pretty dam good at halo2 and halo3, pretty horrible coming back to a game and sucking so bad . I keep getting out br'd/magnumed so much. Maybe i need to buy the elite controller to help me lol I just cant move around the map efficiently anymore

Campaign is fantastic. Not happy about losing local co-op tho :/

Am I the only one who hates the control schemes? Wish I could just choose which buttons I want and what they control. I think that is supposed to happen sometime, but not soon enough.
