I think they spawn mass mobs and stuff possibly to add to the stress test.

god i hope it releases sooner than the end of the year. I haven't played vids since Jan or Feb and need a fix. Tera trial didn't do it for me. Seems like I will want to quit that game before I ever get leveled up and geared out, especially if GW2 does release soon. I might try that Dayz game.

GW2 has possibilities. Though it's much too early to tell.

The game will probably be best around 5 v 5. I wasn't all that impressed with the battleground style stuff from what I played. It was too zerg style. There are no dedicated healer classes. Which might not be a bad thing.

I did have a blast when they essentially made an open pvp world event at the end of a beta weekend.

If you're running SWtor you'll be able to run GW2.

No gear grind. No nerds in moms basement to kill you just because they can play all day to get gear.

If you liked daoc or warhammer rvr lakes you will love the wvwvw. You can start in them from lvl 1. You automatically become lvl 80 upon entering.

Not sure bout your computer. I've been playing on a laptop with i7. New desktop should be up and running by the 4th. Woot.

What am I missing? You can pick any traits you want for BG or you have to get levels for them? Are there differences between highest and lowest gear? Is there crafting?

OK I might have over simplified. I have only played a bit of the betas because I was playing on my laptop. I did some pve and the wvwvw. I didn't try the 5v5 battlegrounds or whatever.

The way I understand it is that all gear will be basically the same but you can get stuff with more attribute specialization. Beyond that the gear progressions are just visual based on prestige or something.

All traits and stuff were unlocked when you entered the wvwvw zone but I'm not sure about the 5v5 stuff.

There is crafting though I never did any.

When you enter the battlegrounds you are leveled to 80, but you still need to gain xp there to level your skills. The level is basically for the purpose of gear and HP at the start, from what i can tell.

My initial guess was August 25, as it is my birthday. So I was pretty much dead right since pre-orders have a 3 day head start.
