so i have a hard time answering it. It does some really cool things. a lot of the things that seem unimportant, driving with your buddys, camping, stuff like that is a cool touch to the game. I just cant get behind the combat. I've played through FF1,2,7,8,X,X-2 and am working on this one, and i just cant seem to get into it.

It seems you echo my same sentiments regarding the 360+ FF games having this combat system I don't like. I want to like it I just think I may rent it if even that.

Just got this a few days ago also. "Full Service Station" on the back of Cindy's jacket just cracks me up lol. By the way, did anyone.........

Spoiler:
actually get to use that machine gun turret east of Hammerhead at the top of the stairs? I blasted through all of the Imperials before I found it, would have been awesome to use it at least once.

i know what you mean.. for me, honestly i wished they use the old fight system. less a headache and more strategic

The final dungeon can is the most interesting one in the game, if you really want a challenge try and figure out what monsters are susceptible to what weapons on your own without looking it up, otherwise it is still difficult and challenging. As I got used to the combat system it seemed better, but not punishing enough as you could always just heal with a potion.
Having played dark souls it is probably just being spoiled that makes people dislike the fight system.
